Wine in Arch/Manjaro is stuck at 6.16. Are there issues stopping from the new ones being added?

If they are going through the effort with Vulkan on Linux and upgrading Windows to DirectX 11, why not just use use Vulkan on Windows too? Figured having to target one renderer would make things easier.

If you are a gamer, it is still better to stick with with Ubuntu/Pop_OS or Manjaro due to the udpated kernels and work into MESA that you will miss from Debian being locked down for 2 more years. You can always go with the Testing or SID branch though. If you want that bleeding edge, may as well just do Manjaro.

Ubisoft are keeping an eye on the Steam Deck, will release on it if it's big enough

Quoting: finaldestThere is only one way to ensure that Ubi and other big publishers bring over their games and that is to support Valve and Linux by doing the following:-

Buy the Steam Deck.

I am doing my part, I have pre-registered for the top tier unit with a Q2 2022 order/delivery estimate. Cannot wait to get my hands on one. I have heard on the web that over 100k units have already been ordered. If this is true then this is an brilliant start.
Buy the Steam Deck and keep the Linux based Steam OS 3.0. There are a lot of these "tech YouTubers" who keep telling people to wipe the Steam Deck and install Windows on it. Ignore them.

Games like this are great in concept, but the player bases are very low if it’s not a Call of Duty, CS:GO or Fortnite.
