FSR 2.1 is a game-changer for Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam Deck

Quoting: MohandevirGood grief! I will have to do a 3rd run! I feel so miserable!

Edit: I did my second run on Steam Deck with the SteamOS FSR because I found the in-game one being... Meh... I found some weird "upscaling pixelization". Looking forward to test FSR 2.1.
HDR is there, just not for the games and overall programs.

so what are the Cyberpunk FPS on decent CPU with Nvidia's GPU?

NVIDIA are teasing something, likely their RTX 40 series GPU (updated)

Quoting: Egonaut1) Jensen Huang said in the investor meeting in August that the 40 series will come next year.
Not otherwise disagreeing on initial statement.
But can't help but wonder if Nvidia is lying to stake holders, fully expecting leaks from stake holders, and consequence of leaks, that people will start buying new stuff before next year and drop bomb around Xmass time, here is 4*** seria! And that way double dip into sales.
And share holders will love the move and forget and forgive.

Quoting: JpxeAlso isn't this the the same on iOS, Android and macOS. Aren't they always changing things and "breaking" backwards compatibility? They still seem to be a very viable target for third-party developers.
Apple products also suck balls. Criticism of Linux is still valid.
With that said, what prevents all games from shipping old system libraries?

ARK: Survival Evolved switches away from Linux Native to use Proton

Quoting: StalePopcornI understand the "no tux no bux" argument but if Linux-native sales don't warrant development and maintenance while the same product works just as well via Proton, why bother?
Don't disagree with this, but have a point or two.
1. How do i know if Proton is actually supported? I shall happily buy game on 90% sale, if its not native. If i want game and its not for collection only, i will also pay full price for native port on day of release. And it can be expensive AAA title.
2. How can i help with debugging where there is major layer of proton between game and OS?

Devs do shoot themselves into foot with those two points.

Quoting: TheRiddickI get choppy experience with a second monitor connected in many games (X11) and in Wayland the gaming experience is generally choppy (frames just randomly dropped to screen, no pace/smooth). This is with a 6800XT.

What scheduler you have?
If not mistaking freesync ONLY works on primary screen.
