No that's what > I < said. whatever.

Just because the steam survey says it knows about Wine Project doesn't mean they are attaching that info to either Windows or Linux OS stat record, what is likely happening is that it goes under OTHEROS part of the record.

I believe using Wine should show as LinuxOS, regardless of what the game supports. (to gauge steam users using Linux, wine is not windows!)
Plot twist:
Wine works on MAC oS x.

So a "wine windows" could be either Wine on Linux or Wine on Mac.

So it most certainly should be under "Other OS" as you cannot determine which of those the wine is running as.

Linux angle:

Making the 0.80% of Linux users online at that time around:
113,656

Although, the 0.80% is debatable. Considering an adult website recently reported stats of 3% being Linux and torrent trackers tending to have a higher percentage of users as well (for example, these stats from a private music tracker with 35k users: http://i.imgur.com/QbSWV1G.png [External Link]

It seems steams stats for Linux are always lower than everyone else's problem is everyone takes stream stats as "the gold standard" :-/

But if we were to ignore steams 0.80% reported figure and instead go with everyone else's 3%:
426,211

Civ VI Steam forum mods banning users for expressing Linux support

Well, I was 100% sure I was going to buy Civ VI. But after seeing this.. I'm about 0% sure I'm buying it. In fact I'm tempted to just ignore it if it releases on Linux.

They are now anti-linux (the only platform I use) so why should I continue to support someone who dislikes me and my platform?

Sorry guys, but they just lost a guaranteed sale.

Nvidia 375.26, 340.101 and 304.134 driver releases are now available

Hey Liam,

Thanks for posting the direct links to the driver updates, that's very helpful :-).

In my drunken opinion, you should do all Nvidia updates like that, it's helpful for those of us who are complete nerds and manage this stuff on our own :-).

(I get that distros have their own repo's for this kind of thing, but sometimes a direct link to the source can be better for some of us.)

Note: Drunk pirate alert.

What one game would blow your mind if it came to Linux & SteamOS?

Fair enough :-).

When the time comes if you need help setting it up feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll help you out, first time setting it up can be a bit daunting ;).

Luckily, once it is set up however you can configure a cronjob which will check the certificate if it needs renewal and then automatically renew it without you having to do anything at all :-).

So for a single website, it's quite literally set up once and forget.
