SaaS is way more profitable and it's almost impossible to crack/emulate if you only release the client.
This mentality resonates perfectly with share holders.
Valve is a private company so there is still hope.

Gladius is amazing. The only warhammer 40k game to have 11 playable factions.

You really don't need the levels of kitsch that the 90s games had. Each developer makes the game they want to make. Not the game YOU want to play.

I'm fine with a female protagonist but things felt a little to rated "PG". Games from that genre from Y2k 2000 were like Serious Sam -- where big ( )( ) harpies and kamakazi bomber men would attack you and ambush you like you were playing in a arcadeDo stardew Valley or Terraria have big ()() harpies?
Game is missing the salt and pepper, but I do believe that if they played their cards right they could join the ranks of Stardew Valley and Terraria.

Sounds like the recent Hitman games all over again.
Get ready to have single player content and features locked behind online only achievements and micro transactions.
Yeah. It'll work offline but it'll all be a demo for the "online experience" of having to pay to get that unit or that shitty camo.

It's a good game but ultimately an online only service which you, as a player/customer, cannot control without dedicated server binaries that are not available.
Things like this will continue to happen. And, yes, the game servers will be eventually shut down and all your micro transactions content will be gone.

I've been holding out on buying BG3 because I want to play the whole thing once the goty drops with all the patches & content. It will likely receive a bit more content & patches as time goes on but Larian deserves our support for avoiding all the BS tactics that the other AAA games employ.
After the whole Dragon's Dogma 2 fast travel dlc drama this article could not have come at a better time.

Larian also confirmed that no DLC expansion is coming for Baldur's Gate 3, it's a complete game and they will be moving onto their next game although Baldur's Gate 3 will still get patches to fix issues.Wow! I didn't know that.
