Quoting: KeyrockOf course you aren't responsible, neither am I. But rule 1 of management is share the praise and own the mistakes. Approach the company on behalf of all the apples in the barrel, good and bad. Ask respectfully, as you personally always have, but don't start with 'I'm not apologizing for the bad ones'. That doesn't work. Own the mistakes of the community at large, and make your request. I respect those that own mistakes, even when i know damn well they didn't make them.Quoting: artvandelay440Well, I mean if we're shooting for the stars here, I'd knock on CDPR's door with a whole big box of apology and ask/beg is there's any way they'd consider The Witcher 3 being ported to Linux by this fine fellow.I'm not about to apologize to CDPR or VP for anything, I didn't threaten anyone and all my feedback (to VP) was respectful and meant to help fix issues. I won't presume to speak on behalf of the bad eggs.
As for games I'd like ported, Nier: Automata will always be right at the top of my list until it does get ported.

Honest question- do they even have anyone doing any linux work, or do they just have a calendar reminder to press 'export for linux' in UE4 when it's time?
ARK: Survival Evolved full release delayed until the end of August

Hey Liam, i was one of the regulars on the Ark GoL server- I've stopped playing really due to the direction Studio Wildcard has been headed, and the complete lack of attention the Linux platform has gotten, so I just wanted to let you all know, if that impacts your decision about hosting the server.

Editorial: No, Valve is not killing SteamOS or the Steam Controller

SteamOS feels like a hedge bet by Valve to keep the pressure on Microsoft in terms of Windows gaming. Essentially it's a loaded gun that Valve can say "If at any time you screw us over, we have an entire platform ready to go all in on." It keeps Microsoft from going full retard with the Windows Store UWP program. Valve isn't interested really in anything except reaching the most gamers they possibly can with their platform, but at the same time they have an ace in their pocket and can play it at any time.
ARK: Survival Evolved has just had a price increase, it has more than doubled

Quoting: g000hYes, pretty insane pricing. But then I see the logic re consoles.I do second this. I have almost 300h in this one as well, and I'd play a linux community server of it for sure.
Meanwhile, similar game "7 Days To Die" has just recently been at 60% discount in Steam Summer sale, it has just had a big update improving graphics, variety, and game balancing. Absolutely love 7D2D. Can't recommend it enough. I've just recently written a chapter in the life of my latest Alpha 16 7D2D character playing on a random map.

Semi-related note: Would the crushing bandwidth on steam right now cause the GOL Ark server to not respond? Can't login.
