Quoting: SarmadKernel level anti-cheat is just a silly idea, and it's not bullet proof even on Windows. The only way for it to be really solid is if the user has no root access to the system, which by design isn't the case in PC regardless of OS. Real anti-cheat should be server based, and should depend on a combination of AI + game recordings + community reporting + human reviews. That's the way to do real anti-cheat systems; anything sitting on the user's computer is breakable.
Unfortunately, doing it the right way costs more money than user anti-cheat on people's computers, so companies will continue doing the latter and blaming left and right when they see fit.

The biggest difference this year for me is Steam Deck playtime went up from 19% and 20% (2022/2023) to 28%, and that I played more new releases, although similar percentage to last year, from 46% and 64% to 66%.
