I'm waiting for the GOTY Edition to buy it, which I'm guessing/hoping will drop around Christmas or so, and ifs Mesa 26 releases in Jan, that's perfect timing!

I take heart from the lead at Revolution Software being candid about being bullish on AI as a means to keep the price down on remastering Broken Sword, and then being equally candid on how it hadn't been cheaper, and hadn't been very good, and they weren't going to do it again having tried it. Lots of companies in lots of industries are dabbling with AI because it's being hyped at them; they won't necessarily know that AI slop isn't good unless they try it.

To be fair, he said they wouldn't use it again on rescaling the backgrounds and character sprites, but not on other things like sound/voice.

This might be the closest I'll ever be to owning a camper van... But the base building and crafting mechanism doesn't really appeal :(

As much as I am pro Rust, I don't like seeing GPL tools being replaced with MIT ones. There was an article somewhere --I can't remember the site-- indicating the toolchain change brought some incompatibilities and downgrade in performance too. Besides, I don't like the path Canonical is taking.

I got too late to the game, and vanilla didn't do it for me. Revision was better, but also felt outdated. I hope I can finally get hooked with this version.
