Are we complaining about a game that was originally on Linux but took 2 years to be on Steam?

Quoting: ungutknutHeroes of might and magic III, Settlers IV, Flatout 2, Dirt 3, Skyrim... these are games I really wouldn't like to miss. So Wine is pretty important to me. And it works much better than I initially expected.
I have problems with few games myself too, i.e Alpha Protocol, but I managed to run first KoToR and The Last Remnant last month.

Same here.

I don't buy Windows games anymore but thanks to Wine I can play a good bunch of old games in my Steam library.

SpeedRunners, a competitive action-platform runner has been delayed for Linux

I bought the game long time ago and played one weekend (Windows). Was good fun, fast and a bit chaotic! I might give it another go once is released again.

Quoting: CaldazarThat's the problem with Early Access / Multiplayer / Linux: I already got tired of looking at it on Twitch / Youtube before it even comes out. Same story with Rocket League. It's so last year, my excitement is already over because I've seen others play it for too long.

If I'm not the only one, we'll see worse Linux sales than it could have had if it wasn't an afterthought. So, if you want to be on Linux, do it right from the beginning. Or at least give us an alpha or beta like the Thea guys wisely decided to do.
Whether SteamOS really takes off or not, I feel we're way into the area where we can and should be picky.
That's why I tend to not watch gameplays. It kinds of ruin the experience once you decide to play the game. It's true we should get games at the same time though, specially multiplayer ones to play when the servers are full of people.

I started The Banner Saga couple of days ago and already more than 12 hours according to Steam xD

Rocket League will be on SteamOS & Linux before the Xbox One in February

I don't think his answers mean "port being dropped" but I do believe the "Community Coordinator" doesn't know shit his job. How the hell can you reply to a user that you're off and you think the game was released already? Don't you follow a roadmap on your company? Other departments don't update you with the situation? What a lack of professionalism.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everybody!

Ori and the Blind Forest won't come to Linux for now, thanks to Microsoft

Quoting: Kristian"they paid for the party"

I don't think any game where that is the case has come to Linux.
Well, that's true but will always depend on the terms of the contract. As an example, Mass Effect was paid by Microsoft, and a exclusive, and years after the release was able to be published on PS3.
