Quoting: Platanito@ID:3486;Arehandoro actually they were responsible of the last two Metroid games for Nintendo, which are quite good IMO, specially Metroid Dread.
Regarding the EGS exclusivity, I agree it was not a good commercial decision, but I guess it was 505 games rather than MercurySteam the ones who made that call. Anyway, the game seems like a spiritual successor of their classic Blade of Darkness, so I'm really interested on this one.
Actually, you're right, I forgot about Metroid Dread and really loved that one! Oh, Blade of Darkness, that was a real gem and so advanced for its time too.

MercurySteam hasn't been able to ace a game since the first Castlevania 3D they did. The game didn't great the best reviews on Spanish websites, so not sure if I'll give it a go.

I don't need 1431 games on Itch.io, so I might just donate directly instead 😊

Quoting: ArehandoroMost people will prefer to accept their fate rather than looking to move to platforms like Mattermost or Element.
I've heard a few horror stories about Mattermost, especially from bot developers, and Element is just a client for Matrix, a chat protocol that's so focused on security that they forgot to implement safety features (like banning/muting accounts and servers).
Damn, I wasn't aware of this :(

Steam Machine & Steam Frame FAQ - RAM and storage crisis to blame for no pricing or dates
5 Feb 2026 at 9:21 am UTC Likes: 9

While this is somewhat bad news, and very unlucky for Valve, I'm going to practice some positivism (don't get used to it):

- If the devices are delayed, it will mean more developing time for HDMI VRR (HUGE, btw!!), FSR, Leap, Frame UI, QA for all of it... and maybe even for a Half-Life 3 🤣 Plus whatever I'm forgetting.
- I'd prefer waiting 6 months and see a price most people can get on board with, that rushing the release and see the machines flop.
- It also gives us more time to save some ££$$€€ (Will even start saving on groceries too when I change my diet to solely eating the rich)

AMD say the Steam Machine is "on track" for an early 2026 release

Quoting: SzkodnixI'm still worried about the price. Even the most pessimistic scenario of $1,000 is becoming less and less realistic option.
Same. I read, on RPS I think, that the Frame could probably be also around that. I hope that doesn't mean that the controller will go up to the $100 mark.
