IndieGameStand blog post on Steam key reselling, plus my thoughts
9 Mar 2016 at 9:50 am UTC

I became aware of that problem last year when Witcher 3 released, and it could be bought for only 20€ on G2A on release day. This clearly showed me there is something wrong here. After a bit of research, things like credit card frauds and Youtube/Streamer reselling their free keys came up. What is new to me, is that this thing even hurts the small ones really bad. And that is not acceptable.
I will continue to buy my games either from Steam, Humble, GoG, Itch, or from the developer directly (which is what I most often do with every music CD I buy).

In my opinion the big shops should stop accepting credit card as a valid payment option, even paypal is more secure. But being from Germany I have a natural instinct against credit card, this may vary in other countries ;)

Hmm slides do not open for me, SEH Access violation, using Libre Office 5.1.0.3. Strange.

The Talos Principle now has a Linux beta build available with Vulkan
22 Feb 2016 at 8:07 am UTC

For an early beta with beta drivers, this actually looks very good to me. Give them some time, and if they can use the new multithread system to its potential, we will see better numbers for Vulkan.
Best thing about that all, is that some devs care at all for us Linux folks. And for that, I'm more than glad.

Darkest Dungeon will be available on Linux in March
18 Feb 2016 at 10:43 am UTC

Oh come on, another insta buy game on my pile of shame :D
Well, maybe I wait until some cool sale on Steam or GOG before getting it, as I still have some games left to complete before (just 20 something games *cough*)

This game looks so cool, and all the Lovecraft atmosphere, this will be a fantastic experience for a Lovecraft fan like me.

Pillars of Eternity: The White March - Part II is now available
18 Feb 2016 at 10:38 am UTC

Well, good new for me, as I still haven't started the game yet, just bought it last month in the GOG winter sale. The new story time mode sounds very interesting, as I often hear that combat can be frustrating at times, maybe I checkout this mode out from the very beginning.
Regarding the Linux game stack of shame, mine just got bigger yesterday, cause of Victor Vran in Steam's midweek madness :D
And there is still to finish:
- Borderlands 2
- Bioshock Infinite
- Rogue Legacy (can't beat the 4th Boss, it's so damn hard)
- BroForce
- Hammerwatch - Temple of the Sun
- Shadowrun Dragonfall & Hong Kong
- Dark Matter
- Hotline Miami 2
- Painkiller Hell & Damnation
- Solarflux
- Trine 2
- Völgarr the Viking
- XCOM 2
and some I can't remember out of my head. And before all that I want to finish Dragonage and Witcher 3 on my Windows partition, so I can stop dual booting for the next months :D (Or I finish Dragonage and wait for a Linux port of Witcher 3)

Shadowrun: Hong Kong gets free Extended Edition update

Ah yes, that is very nice to read, another piece of the story on top of the main campaign (which was awesome on its own). HBS is still rocking it, will definitely check their next project.

Gothic RPG roguelike Darkest Dungeon coming soon to Linux
2 Feb 2016 at 8:11 am UTC

I'm really looking forward to this game, played it already at my friend, but did not want to buy before actual Linux release. Hopefully they do not release it to soon, as I still grind through Diablo's Season 5 Journey ;)

New Broforce update adds new characters, new game mode and more

I've been away for a week, and what do I see, a Broforce update. Nice can't wait!
