I really like the assets released by Kenny. They have tiles, sprites, sfx and models. And the images come with texture atlas files as well. Some of those packs are huuuuge!
And it is not like someone whipped them up in MS Paint in 10 minutes either. And some of the assets are in use in games on steam as well already, even featured in the games banner graphics.

Was a Linux Live CD released with one of the netmarketshare indicator websites enabled as a homepage after bootup?

I applaud the game as much as I cringe at "Mac, Linux and PC" at the end of the trailer.

Oh boy, I need to get back to this game, it's really awesome! Stopped years ago because my co-op partner dropped out but this is fun in single-player as well for sure.
Go grab a copy everyone, I can recommend this one!

There are two major trade fairs in Germany this week and the next: Gamescom will start on Wednesday and the IFA consumer electronics unlimited will follow suit Friday next week. Both have been used to introduce new hardware in the past, so I call it likely we will see some announcements soon.
I'd be willing to shell out 700€ once the support for Linux leaves its infancy. That said, I also bought a Wii U for example and only played 3 games on it, so I might be easy to win over :)

The 'Razer DeathAdder Chroma' is quite possibly the nicest mouse I've ever owned

I am a longtime Deathadder fan myself, right now I'm using the third one in I think 14 or 15 years. But it's not a Chroma, has to be one of the other editions with green backlights. The first one had a firmware issue (so I was told when returning it to the vendor) after a few weeks and was replaced without questions and free of charge. It survived many LAN parties and never let me down in frenetic deathmatches :)
In addition to the ergonomic design and smooth responses I also value this mouse for the textile insulation on the cord instead of the usual rubber and just the right weight for my taste. One of my preferred use cases for the additional buttons is push-to-talk.
But I never installed any special software or drivers, it always worked out of the box, no complaints. After reading the article and z3ntu's comment above I will give both linked packages a try though.
A mate introduced me to Razer with the Boomslang, which isn't an optical mouse. But the Boomslang placed the ball way back at the very end of the mouse, almost under your wrist. It was awkward to get used to and I told him I would never fall to such fancy gimmicks (it shipped in a tin can!) and switched back to my cheap MS Pilot mouse or industrial Logitech bulk ware. A few years later I chose to buy the Deathadder after gripping every mouse on display in the store and was instantly hooked, it just felt right.
