What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

Been playing lots and lots of Europa Universalis 4 and Hearts of Iron 4 - not much to say there, try take over the world with your favourite country :D
Been also playing some Plague Inc Evolved, quite good for a little fun inbetween, as it doesn't consume much time to complete a game (eu4 and hoi4 are blackholes for time) and it's quite challenging :)
Played (and will be playing) CoD Blops 3 with friends (it was a gift, not gonna say no to free games!) although it's on Windows D:
Played some less Rainbow Six Siege than a few weeks back, because I feel like the new Update made the netcode and hitreg even worse... and it's pretty much the only reason I use Windows anymore. Maybe if we get Dx11 in Wine... :D
Yeah, quite many different things, but it was autumn holidays, so from now on substantially less time to play games :c ...until Christmas that is :D

Small update to the PC info system today, you can now get a 'forum signature image'

It'd be awesome if we had the Distro's color as BG instead of just grey C:

Day of Infamy, the WWII FPS from New World Interactive updated, looks pretty good on Linux

Performance is pretty shit for me, I have an Rx480 (amdgpu-pro driver) and with all settings on high/very high I'm getting up to 30 fps, and I'm not even running FullHD (1680x1050) :(

Agenda, control an organization trying to take over the world in this strategy game

The map is wrong, but what you're on about is an issue of projection.
The reason it's wrong is: Where is Greenland!?

Overlord, Overlord: Raising Hell and Overlord II (new port!) released on Steam for Linux
11 Aug 2016 at 5:52 pm UTC

Codemasters have advised us that bundles that were available to purchase prior to the release of the Mac and Linux version do not qualify for a free copy of the game for the new platforms. These special bundles were sold purely for the supported platform at that time.

Well I guess I won't be playing Overlord anytime soon.
(1 I don't wanna buy it again, 2 can you even buy it when you own it on steam?)

What have you been playing recently and how is it?

I've started playing Undertale a day ago although having bought it when it released onto Linux.
Been having quite a lot of fun, although it was frustrating at some points. (Boss fights... although not the fights, but rather the game over screen, that you cannot skip, just lemme instant respawn please ;~; )

But I've also been on the dark side.
Played the hell out of Rainbow Six Siege on Windows. I just love the 5v5 gameplay and the destruction. You also die really fast (and kill really fast) so every encounter with an enemy is really exciting.
It's the first Windows game I've bought since I switched to Linux... and I know I shouldn't have, but damn the game is soooo good, I could not resist buying it after the free weekend (at a 50% discount, wouldn't have otherwise).

Arma 3 Linux beta has been updated

Had received the update already a few days ago (and was then downgraded again...) and asked BI about it.
They told me after 1.58 the port team starts working on 1.62 right away, so in not too long (I wonder what takes them so long to port an update anyway) we should hopefully be able to play with Windows players :)

Day of Infamy FPS now available on Linux & SteamOS (updated)
28 Jul 2016 at 10:47 pm UTC

The Question is, if it's playable on Linux, but not 'SteamOS approved', does it count as a Linux sale?
Or should I rather wait a bit?

Also, if any of you already have Insurgency, I'd recommend buying the New World Collection instead of the game alone ;)

Epic Games founder thinks Microsoft will essentially break Steam in later versions of Windows 10

Quoting: BreezeIf the company that makes Unreal Engine, doesn't support Linux in the games they are releasing, then they must not be very confident in the cross platform capabilities of their engine. That would look very bad to me if I was looking for a cross platform game engine.
Tbh, a huge part of making UE4 run on Linux (at least for the Editor) is done by the community, not Epic themselves. They are too busy focusing on Mobile and VR. It's really disappointing. We can not even use Marketplace content on Linux, because the launcher is not available! And why is it not? Because the launcher is proprietary and the community thus cannot port it and Epic is just too lazy to do it.
Imo, they don't give a s**t about cross platform and if they do they've done surprisingly little to show it.
