BATTLETECH will only be coming to Linux post-launch, along with other features

Sure it sucks, but for now I am still willing to give 'em the benefit of doubt.
They clearly stated Linux version along with some other promised features is planned post release and they do have a good track record of polishing and adding content to their titles after release. Let's keep the pitchfork in the barn for now (Tiki torches are in short supply anyway currently I am told) and make sure they know we definitely do want their games on Linux instead.

Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition is again showing signs of possible Linux support

Quoting: HoriI had the impression that most players didn't like this game too much, compared to the other ones in the series (both newer and older). Or was it only a problem at launch?

What do you guys think?
It was a mess at release, but they patched it into shape. There is still some things the later "Attila" does better, but "Rome 2" has the more attractive time line and setting for most people. I seem to remember quite a few people declaring "Attila" the superior title and then returning to play "Rome 2" for one reason or another ;-)

Would be nice to see it happening. The UI is a bit of a mess in this one, but I still have fond memories of "Oh shit!" moments in the campaign I played before getting rid of dual boot.

Quoting: razing32Hmm , wondering if we have any German users who might know this btf GmbH firm.
If they were serious with previous projects.
Thinking to try my luck on the lowest tier that gives a game (25$)
Given that they work professionally for German television and even did two retro mini point and click adventures featuring German television presenter and comedian Jan Böhmermann I think we can be reasonably certain they will deliver a well rounded finished product. Looking at the art style and the unusual alternative controls (separate head movement) they feature in the video I'd assume this is also somewhat of a passion project.

Blowing everyone up in EVERSPACE, my thoughts

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTWill this be already counted as a Linux sale?

By the way, how do you know Humble Sales are counted as Linux sales on Steam also? I got no answer to this question that satisfied me in the past from the Humble staff. I think people just expect that....
One would assume that they will be able to count at least the downloads of the Linux version on Steam and as long as the port is "in house" that should be enough to give them feedback for future projects.
Where counting as Linux sales really matters is with third party ported games if the porter is paid per unit shipped.

Nice to see they are still trying to deliver.
Does anyone know if they happen to have proper joystick support in yet?

War Thunder may replace OpenGL and DirectX 9 with Vulkan in "the near future"

For the Linux version it would be awesome - we might actually hope to get properly working anti aliasing then instead of fx-screenblur-aa.
That would only leave 5.1/7.1 surround sound on my wish list then.
