Yup, there are minor sound issues... but I played the good old Prince of Persia for a bit and I loved it! Cheats don't work, though...

I love the idea but the execution could see more love.

From a developer's point of view: Hell, yeah! No more messing around with multiplayer code just for dual stick RPGs!

Steam Play Proton 4.11-7 is out with more gamepad improvements and other misc fixes

Should I reinstall Kingdom Come: Deliverance? It stopped starting for me after update. With older Proton versions I had to link some DLLs to a different directory or it wouldn't go past the initial black screen. It does the same now even though I have those DLLs linked properly.

Using the Elgato Stream Deck on Linux just got a whole lot easier with streamdeck_ui

So it's like an extra keyboard with shortcuts you can predefine? I configured something like that for a friend long time ago with a phone android app - can't seem to google it now, if you know the name of it, please comment in response. We dabbled with a webcam gestures app before that but it wasn't working well enough. It, unfortunately, was on Windows. Good to know there are similar ready to use solutions on Linux now.

Testing the Gioteck WX-4 Wireless gamepad on Linux, pretty good for the price

I have one good controller (that is Steam Controller I got as a gift from a good friend) and four 3rd party Xbox One Controllers from China that cost me less than 20£ total. Work equally beautiful without the unpopular layout.

A developer from Epic Games adds an offscreen video driver to SDL 2

I wish Steam did headless rendering for streaming. It's what stopped me from using the Remote Play. Last time I tried, it opened Big Picture and rendered the game window to my PC's main monitor, only then (literally) shared that screen surface with my tablet. Hopefully with this off-screen driver Valve will make it possible to render straight to your other device.

Richard Stallman has resigned from the Free Software Foundation and MIT

LOL, IDK, maybe it's not the right place for this kind of bullshit but I value opinion of people I can relate to, like other Linux users who like games, more than some random internet pulp, so I wish we could make polls here:

I'd love everyone who read the actual mailing thread all this fuss is about to choose one in each of the following polls (@Liam, please make it happen for the sake of thought experiment if nothing else - I don't want to host polls on 3rd party questionable policy services that no one will visit anyway):

Do you agree with what Richard Stallman said?
  • I agree with RMS and I don't mind the way he said it
  • I agree with RMS but don't agree with the way he said it
  • I don't care and I don't mind the way he said it
  • I don't care but I don't like the way he said it
  • I disagree with RMS but I don't mind the way he said it
  • I disagree with RMS and I don't like the way he said it

Do you think he should be forced to resign?
  • Yes
  • No

The new Steam Library Beta is officially out for you to try
18 September 2019 at 7:15 am UTC

Oh, man! Steam lagged for me so badly yesterday just after update, and then when the new library loaded I thought something broke! Then I tried to run it again and it was lagging even worse, all the transition animations were hanging my system, until it generated its precious shaders or whatever it finished doing 5 minutes later... then it went almost smooth. It's perfectly fine performance-wise after disabling the extra news (it downloads stuff from store) and heavy animations (load up the CPU drastically on my machine, even though I have GPU acceleration on, GTX 1070). You can do so in Settings -> Library.

Functionality-wise, yeah, I agree, it's two steps back for us.
