Does tearing come up on screen captured videos? Is that even possible to capture it? I thought it's something that happens between your GPU and the monitor. The only way is to record it with an external camera, I think. Here's an example of the amount of the screen tearing I'm getting, although it's not mine:

Well, as @Beamboom said - that's Gold, not Platinum. Any issue (apart from reasonably lower fps, I think) drops status from Platinum to Gold. Gold means it's easily fixable or doesn't affect the game, though, so maybe we should consider that "fully playable" or "same as Windows" since AFAIR it's perfectly normal and very common on Windows to mingle with game settings, launchers, GPU drivers and/or installation process for the game to run properly. And if so, Platinum means "better than on average Windows install".

Yeah, man. Compton is the default compositor on Manjaro.i3 and I tried to run it on both backends, glx and xrender, with every possible vsync method, including vsync disabled and even running i3 without it, then all of that with every combination of GPU driver options that I thought might have any impact on composition (that's how I broke a perfectly fine GTX750, actually), still, tearing. It's either an edge case of applications / configuration I somehow always happen to put on a fresh install (and I endured 3+ of them over last 2 years hoping to blindly fix it) or I'm a very unlucky person and it's a "slightly broken hardware" issue. Somehow. Even though I gradually replaced everything but HDD and screen. Maybe. I don't know. I gave up looking for a cause. It shouldn't be that hard. Nobody can even tell me whether I have to reboot after each configuration change or is the X restart enough or maybe I just need to restart i3 or the compton itself... So I ended up rebooting "just in case" even for compton config changes. It's nerve wrecking.

Thank you for the tip, though. Sorry for the rant.

Edit: BTW, no syncing issues on Nouveau. So... Yeah.

I think I said it here already but Valve should buy Discord long time ago, extend SDK, give developers in-game features like location, area voice chat, etc. Many devs are integrating with Discord any way and they'd probably love to replace their own in-game comms with a ready to use and well maintained library. I hate the fact I'm forced to use a separate VoIP software just because other people won't use the subpar solution Steam offers. I still respect them for other reasons, obviously, but it's very very silly on account of Valve.

I wonder if it helps any of the games using DirectInput libraries. I thought it to be an issue of the past but found out Steam Controller not working in RainWorld just the other day. Very frustrating.
