An int/int fraction? That sounds like a Ratio in Haskell: http://hackage.haskell.org/package/base-4.11.1.0/docs/Data-Ratio.html [External Link]

Could they have gotten Firaxis/2K to agree to replace the math library on all platforms?

Okay, so you are talking specific issues with particular games? I mean I get that crossplatform-play presents challenges, but the wording "practically impossible" made me think it was almost unheard of and a major breakthrough by Aspyr.
Edit:
I mean breakthrough in general, not breakthrough with this particular port.

Quoting: scaineWow, that's pretty huge, isn't it? Cross-platform play has been an issue with ports for...ever. I was led to understand that it's basically impossible (for a ported title). I wonder how they overcame it?Why would it be basically impossible? I was under the impression that several titles have cross-platform play?

I ended up getting the Founder's Edition anyway. Using my US address. It is going to be expensive in terms of shipping, but I figure it won't ship until 2019, so it is okay.

This is also from the Wiki:"The official name for the update, Better Together Update, or also known as "1.2" merges the bedrock platforms under one title - "Minecraft", reflecting the addition of cross-platform compatibility between the Pocket Edition (Android/iOS only), Windows 10 Edition, Xbox One Edition, Gear VR Edition, and the Nintendo Switch Edition.[5] It is unclear if or when the Apple TV Edition will be updated."

It seems they don't ship the Founders Edition to the Faroe Islands. Oh well, it was worth a shot. In any case I won't miss out on the game itself seeing as I own it on 3drealms.com and GOG and Steam.

Speaking of Ryan Gordon and GOG, maybe his next porting project could be GOG Galaxy. I mean if GOG can't find the resources for it internally they really should outsource it.
