i guess i will stick with kde+ubuntu thus deb repos are really large. hardware support is realy good on ubuntu also i feel every ubuntu realese is faster than the first one. and i have so few bug experienced in Ubuntu. Only thing that drives me out of ubuntu is default Gnome-shell desktop basicly i hate it. Also i like to check Deepin linux in some time.
but beyond these i really like to install and test google's Fuscia os on my pc
because it seems some important projects will be supported by Fuscia as default like VULKAN api. and that os will be cross-hardware. One os for all.

System76 creating their own desktop environment written in Rust

First things first Kde has everything that anykind of users wants. we just need to learn kde. İt has good development power behind itself. Kde has many dedicated programmers (which has passion and some of them has blogs about kde and related stuff)
KDE is
*Low resource hangry
*Customisation Monster
*Eye candy
*Decently Stable
*Speedy (compared to desktops while effects are fully working)
*Has alot of tools as smart device integration to browser extensions and so on.

Still i dont get why Linux ecosystem isn't just gather around Standarts. So many diversity so many efficiency loss resource loss about dozens of apps which does exactly same thing over other.
well and system76 is on the same train.
We need an organisation for Linux Standarts. And Unification.
Beyond these i will watch if that decision of pop_os become a nightmare or a dream.
its hard task and goodluck guys.

i hope thats not another marketing strategy as developers can stop eac to work under linux in anymeans and then stop support. So what about refund option for Linux users?

You can now support the Flatpak package format on Open Collective

All incompability issues are about how good "support" is. if you support your application it will definitly work with new libraries in new distros thats it. if you dont support it or drop support for it yes. İn some time your app will be dead.
just look at starcraft it just borked in XP outdated libraries. its also borked in windows 10 11 just for outdated starcraft itself. it still works flawless under win95 win98. Or you have to use remastered which is complately working in high res+new libraries with new OSes even works in Linux with 3rd party tools.
About package systems; apt rpm tgz pisi (msi for MS) and so on are the good for precompiled distributing and running apps. But not good for compability, dependency hell, library and peripheral compability issues.
the real thing is compiling from the source it has total compability speed optimizations and so on. But thats stoneage distribution and requires power users to handle errors etc.

either flakpak snap package managers etc.. Linux lacks 1 thing really. one universal distribition system. İmagine you only need 1 type of package and manager. let call it "lpis"
"Linux package installer system" Now we have another diversion beyond snap flat tgz rpm pisi etc etc etc.
We need Standarts Some common things as universal just for more user friendlyness.

This is actually why i hate wine proton and so on over native games. But while we linux users are low on population and market share proton and wine keeps us stay comfortable in our Linux World. thats a handicap.
and this is a paradox.
more the proton and vulkan is more the marketshare and more native games for Linux. Because native with vulkan is more easy than praying a 3rd party solution will works for our product.

what is the probabilty of steam decks' proton be the same as in desktop Steam. İ read alot about Steam deck is just a handheld pc based on arch linux + kde.
i like to say eac will work at day 1 with all linux systems where proton and steam available.
so this will unlock many many aaa titles for desktop Linux users. And will be catastroph for user base of windows. (for dual booter too)

The Valve Steam Deck, lots of excitement and plenty to think about for Linux gaming

Compability and Support is the key for any Linux Powered device to be succesfull.
type model hardware nothing is important. Only Software is really matters at the begining of gaming.

examples; SteamOS, Atari, and sadly any Linux installed PC. windows and console users are using windows or consoles to play games. But Linux users are using knowledge skills and some hackings to play games. So linux gamers are just %1 of market.

the reality is not having tools for Linux to embrace linux. İf you want to embrace linux u can embrace it already.
so the point is i guess someone trying the prepare the desktop pc ecosystem as much as suitable with some kind of linuxish opensource OS. maybe Google's Fuscia OS. Why google using stadia on linux ? cant google make its own fully capable directx.XX supported cloud gaming platform ? it could do that but why google choose the Linux path ?
why vulkan why stadia and boosting Fuscia OS development meanwhile flutter improvements etc.
i guess this is all begining of new kind of monopoly.
But let see what will happen next.
