I don't like epic and don't have an account on it, even with a lot of impressive games for free.

But I find fantastic that they at least "allow" third party apps, I mean, even Steam having a native app, it suck so much that I would use any alternative. Would be nice stores to Origin and UPlay too

I'm curious to see how efficient those AC will be, I mean, as it's not as lower level in comparison to the Windows. It will be really bad if with this move, a lot of new cheaters start using it.

Proton Experimental gets more CEG DRM fixes, new fsync code

Quoting: fagnerlnDo you know what are you talking about? Kernel with fsync is generally patched, so there's no difference between update manually a kernel and setup a patched one.
The difference is that common users don't usually update their default kernel, so if a distro is not using the minimal version with support by default, they won't have the patched benefits since most of distros make the kernel update separated from the usual upgrade process.

Not anyone's fault in this, but it's a reason why I prefer rolling distros for gaming use cases.
None of big rolling distro uses patched kernel by default,it's the same issue

F1 Race Stars is working really well (except online, but not sure if the problem is on proton)

According to a Proton developer if you have an older Kernel fsync should be automatically disabled so if you want to use it you need to update.
One of the reasons why I personally don't like to use "stable" distros myself.

Or your VERY UPDATED distro is already on 5.16

That's an amazing news, the whitelisting never improved, now with a specific device with a specific OS, it should work.

Ignition is amazing, but sadly the version available on Steam is the DOS version. The "win32" version is far superior, but if you want to play, need to find it in some yaaarrrr site. It works flawlessly on WINE

It can sound weird, but IMO they should focus on a sequel. They already put a lot of work on it, which is amazing, no doubts, but how much is too much?

I was expecting some proprietary workaround to make the AC work, good to know.

The problem of Linux communities is that the huge part of it isn't people that cares about freedom of the individuals, is just socialists that want to "fight the burgesses".
