Steam could create a way to "donate" to developers do a port, I mean:
-Dev show interest.
-Create this fund with a X dollars goal.
-We "donate" (pre-buy?)
If the goal is achieved
-Steam pays the dev if the game was released
-donators receive a copy of game
Otherwise donators receive a refund

Drive a customizable steambuggy in 'Pressure Overdrive', now on Linux

I bought (or received, I don't remember) Pressure some time ago (2014~2015), weeks before my "full-migration" to Linux, so I played it a little.
The funny part is that Pressure isn't on store anymore, but at least I received a 80% coupon to Pressure Overdrive.
Fair enough.

It's a dumb move.
I don't understand why they are porting to dx, many devs are looking for android, wich is the hottest market now.

Quoting: omer666You need to have this as command line option:Thanks!
LD_LIBRARY_PATH="" %command%
It disables Steam Runtime for a single game. Very useful!

Quoting: omer666How do you disable Steam runtime?Quoting: cprnYes I sorted it out by completely disabling the Steam runtime, but the game has some big graphical bugs in combat, too bad...Quoting: omer666You probably solved but in case you didn't... Are you using some non-standard glibc libs? 3rd party maybe? Try installing the stable one from Fedora repositories. The libstdc++6 [External Link] would be the right package for Ubuntu so maybe it's named something similar in your distribution. If you don't want to change your OS libraries just LD_PRELOAD it in app properties.[...] GLIBCXX_3.4.21 not defined in file libstdc++.so.6 with link time reference [...]
Any idea?

OpenGL vs Vulkan in Mad Max, re-tested

I ran the benchmark and strangely OGL is near Vulkan in averange FPS. But "in real life", things are different, in OGL, FPS drops to below 20fps, my cpu struggles as hell even on lowest settings. To be fair, the game was unplayable.
Now the game runs at 40~60fps on high settings. You can't measure a CPU overhead with an i7.
I hope that Feral upgrade their older games too (TR runs badly even on lowest)
Using fx6300 + 750ti
