Ryan "Icculus" Gordon is looking for new games to port to Linux, pay not required

I think its admirable of him to offer to help support Linux gaming without a fee.

Perhaps for big "bang for buck" if he is looking for projects could be to help Yaakuro who is also on Patreon developing the Unreal Engine and toolset for Linux. Epic is merging Yaakuro's updates into UE4, and lowering the barriers for UE4 Linux porting could be a huge win for getting Unreal Engine games on Linux.

Sociable Soccer, from the designer of Sensible Soccer could see a Linux version with enough support

Sensible Soccer was so much fun, and Linux needs a football game other than a sim, this would be AWESOME!

As you say, this could become another fun indie hit like Rocket League. Lets try to make it happen!

F1 2017 could be on the way to Linux, as Feral Interactive want to see demand for it

As others have said I'd prefer if Feral put their dev effort elsewhere as its not my favorite genre, but I'm a Feral Fanboy so would support them and buy it if it was released. I'm sure I'd enjoy it, particularly if it supported Vulkan and performance was good.

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

It has been pretty obvious for quite a while that CDProjectRed/GOG has no interest in Linux, the Linux client is one of the most requested features for years upon years and nothing has been done. In return I haven't spent a penny on GOG games in years and more than happy to support Value instead who contribute a lot to Linux gaming and Vulkan.

Paradox has acquired Triumph Studios, makers of Age of Wonders & Overlord

I dont know why people complain so much about having the option to get more content for a game they like, increasing its longevity. Its completely optional and if you don't like the policy you don't have to buy into it. If you're a completionist and feel like you have to have it you can just wait for a sale. Game development ain't cheap and these smaller studios have to get the money for their new projects from somewhere. The DLC model is here to stay I think to fund the ever increasing development costs. If they raised the prices of the base game to compensate people would also complain.

Paradox have been great to the Linux community and this merger hopefully means more games for us to play, and as others have said more manpower for Paradox, who are a very customer friendly company. They go as far as inviting fans to their offices to see upcoming games and get their feedback.

Feral Interactive are teasing a new Linux port, bring on the speculation

Quoting: sevenOk feral, listen carefully, I will say this over and over again...... Port SPACEMARINE already, its long overdue!!!
I loved that game, it was so much fun. I played it right through to the end and would play it again to the end if it got ported to Linux (I dont have any Windows partition any more).

I think the clue might be Tomb Raider, and I'd be really pleased if it was.

Cossacks 3 has been patched and it should now work a lot better on Linux

Thats good, I literally just bought it a couple of minutes ago in the Steam sale.

STASIS, the point & click horror game is now officially available for Linux
28 Jun 2017 at 7:19 pm UTC

This is an excellent game, if you're not sure if you will like it you can download CAYNE, a companion game, that is free. Its like a short version of Stasis that has a sideline story and uses the same engine/gameplay.

As others have said, the small team of developers have worked really hard to bring this to Linux.

Cossacks 3 finally in open beta for all Linux users

That's great that the developer has worked through the showstopper bugs, I will buy it once its out of Beta. STASIS is also now working on Linux.
