Quoting: LukeNukemI think this will more than make up for not being able to play id Software's Rage on Linux.I wouldn't even want it. It has amazing gunfight and overall mechanics, but it is like a demo of a great game - ends when you think the real gameplay is starting. :S:

Not only we are less in numbers, but 7bigger part of us reject purchases too easily. I don't like these problems either, but I will always buy a great game made for Linux even when devs can see the community hostility that clearly. DRM? Their right, people do pirate games too much. Microtransactions? Just don't buy them, thats the best way to battle them. Paid dlc? You are offered something that was rejected from original games most likely due to lack of time/money - profits like these are better than making the game 1.5x more expensive and you don't have to buy them either.
Why not just buy games we want to play for now until Linux is stable as a dev choice and then battle secondary wars?

Quoting: throghThis will be another DRM-release on Steam, so no chance to buy this one for me. :)I agree that everybody has their principles, but Linux users are so good at their pickiness that it makes me wonder why devs even bother trying to port their games. DRM, microtransations, paid DLC, ...

Well there is not much use for them to port the game now and they should have just rejected the possibility.
This is too big of a game and Linux based sales will be really low, because, well because they are too late. Such overhyped projects are wanted by people and those who wanted found a way to play them already.
If it was a fast Linux release, we could see the Force Of Tux and the real, true numbers you can get from cross-platform PC sales. Now even if they will even release it, will it bring them money? Nope, they will more likely lose them at this point imho.

This and the first one beats DOOM in my game reboot list. Also on Linux the first one was the best quality game in my library. Love Flying Wild Hog. Hard to not get overhyped here.
