These guys were always on the ball with innovation. Back when we all had the original Radeon cards and Geforce 2's, Croteam was showing off all kinds of advanced rendering concepts such as bump mapping and SSS with the original Serious Sam game. Way to go Croteam we love ya!

Quoting: koyal13Without a doubt... Stellaris! This game have change my gaming life haha :D
Ditto. Stellaris is really well crafted. It gets it's tendrils into my OCD side and before I know it I'm late for work and sleep deprived.

Give the kid a carton of cigarettes and a case of beer and have him re-record in a week.

What have you been playing on Linux recently and what do you think about it?

Descent Underground. It's got a long ways to go but the community is awesome and it's fun participating in a unfolding project. Rough around the edges is an understatement but if you're a Descent nut it's the place to be. More of a hobby than a game at this point.

Stellaris. Very polished under Linux, had no issues at all not to mention is a really fun game. It's unique, overwhelmingly complex yet casual at the same time. Still on my original game I started on release day. It's pretty much a Internet spaceships spreadsheet.

Wargame: AirLand Battle. The RTS that's nothing like other RTS's. Finite resources, realistic units modeled after actual military assets. I don't even play multiplayer, just skirmish with 67 hours wrapped up into it.

Come watch another round of the GOL OpenRA tournament tonight, last one before the final!
