Just started Prey, It's really fun. Definitely gives off *shock vibes, especially SystemShock with some of the odd ball weapons.
I have been playing on the Deck with my TV, but the TV panel is dying. I've been looking casually, but I can't seem to find a non-smart or non-internet connected TV.

I still have to play the factorio expansion!! Why do this to me?!?!?!
But really, this is probably one of my all time favorite games. Literally the only thing I would buy on release day (and did, lol)
@Boldos - yeah, the graphics are a bit funky (plus like 10-12+ years old, lol). I'd still recommend giving it a chance. Turns out the art choice makes for a fairly easy to read map, and I think the cartoony nature really balances out some of the darker moments (kinda like Kerbal Space Program's Kerbals) although that's probably more personal preference.

Glad it's the series! I have a 1070 and when in built it 6 years ago, I was expecting to keep it for 8-10 years.. oh well. It still runs everything I want to play (and probably almost everything on the market). I guess I should research AMD's offerings and see what's out there. Hopefully nothing too expensive, lol!
RimWorld - Odyssey will bring spaceship building, exploration and a lot more content

Yeah, this is one of my favorite games. I still haven't played the factorio expansion yet, so it might be a minute till I get back to Rim World! (Prolly this fall once school starts). But this will be a definite must buy for me!

But Steam had something the rest didn't: Half-Life, L4D, and a "good" DRM platform. That last was what convinced publishers to put up games, and the first few got us into the store. I remember people gripping about Steam due to the DRM (why do I have to be connected to the Internet to play my single player game? Why can't I back up or sell my used games? What do you mean my in-store purchase was just an activation code?? Where's my box swag?!?!) GOG was in part started due to some of the complaints about Steam.
But the Steam DRM was less invasive than other on disk DRM, people didn't really mind it after they got used to it and with more "exclusive releases" to Steam, I think that pretty much sealed the deal on the early stores.

I think the actual bigger problem is that they let Steam happen. For a long time nobody even challenged Steam and just let them growI remember when Steam was fairly new, there were quite a few competitors: Impulse, gamergate (that name aged well!), Direct2drive, etc.

Good little box. I have an older one i got for the kiddos. It's mounted on the back of the monitor. They weren't fully aware the box and monitor are different things, lol! It is a little hard to get to the power button from back there, lol.
But yeah, it's good quality and the OS and shell are extremely user friendly (from the "I just want this to work and not have to tweak things" point of view).

@TheSHEEEP; depending on the country, in some cases, it is a real defense strategy to delay the judicial process as much as possible. It's used a lot of there is concern they will lose the case on the merrits. Basically draw it out as long as possible in the hope that critical witnesses (like the victim) get tired of it and give up.
While not trying to imply anything to this specific case, I would see it a lot with domestics and traveling victims.
