Talking point: what have you been playing recently?

Quoting: EikeI avoid starting all those big RPGs at the moment due to lack of time. Is it still fun? I think I would forget all the rules, tactics, story, ...
It is! I may be in a slightly different circumstances in that I have little time, but what I do have is regular. Forgetting isn't really a concern. Wasteland 2 is pretty linear story wise and the mechanics are pretty simple/intuitive, so I haven't felt like I'm forgetting anything even if it's been a week or so. It's pretty fun so far, the atmosphere and humor are great so far.

On the other hand, getting into a game can be a problem, especially if it is the type that require time investment to do things (think you're epic TBS or Kerbal Space Program).

Since I'm not buying any games this year, I decided to finish the games I own. I have a bad habit of not finishing games.

So I'm still playing Wasteland 2. Still enjoying it. I don't get a ton of play time, so I think I'll finish it by August.

Kerbal Space Program 1.12 "On Final Approach" is the last major update out now

Great game. Sequel or not, I hope the community continues to support it.

Literally made me think of Gourmond, from Wild Kratts.

Space Haven looks tempting pretty much right up my alley, but I'll have to wait till it's done or 2022, which ever is later.

Quoting: headless_cyborgUnfortunately, it's really hard for me to find anything even remotely interesting (browsing native only)
I'm out a similar mindset. Maybe my tastes are changing our maybe I'm internalizing my goal to not purchase any games this is year. I think more, that I'm just getting more picky about what I want to spend my money and time on despite all the great games out there.

GOG are doing an early Summer Sale that's now live

I can recommend hollow knight and opus magnum. Both are very good.

Wasteland 2. I've kinda found a lot of the "epic" party RPG'S (bioware and co.) to be fairly boring or frustrating, but I figured I'd give it a try with a different theme and developer.

Funny as I figure those would be right up my alley, but outside of Planescape: Torment, I've never finished one. I have finished Fallout though, so I'm giving Wasteland 2 a try.

Also just finished X:com Enemy Within. Very good game. Kinda has me searching for something similar, perhaps a little more strategic

Valve looks to be overhauling Steam Library folders to finally make them more useful

I'm a little conflicted on the new design. I prefer the compact layout and clear information of the old design as opposed to the new designs aesthetics. It's such a jumbled waste if space. But I do like the idea to quickly see what's in each library(and hopefully search and sort that list)

It's almost like the idea of adding a window to the side of the old library list that would populate with a list of games and relevant stats was too obvious, so it had to be wrong.
