This was selected as a must purchase for the current Steam sale.

Feral Interactive are teasing a new Linux port, bring on the speculation
27 Jun 2017 at 4:16 pm UTC

Quoting: chui2chI'm going to say it's Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. I want it to be Rise of the Tomb Raider, but there are steam db hints that it is Temple of Osiris(domesticated_qa_branch_b).
And Mac depots. It does seem like an odd choice though. RoTR is one that has been requested a lot. Almost nobody cares about Temple of Osiris.

So far I haven't seen any really convincing arguments. The Lara cafe is ok. But I looked up the location of the Croft Manor for RoTR and it's actually outside London.

Surprising to see a new release during a steam sale. That's normally a pretty dead period in that regard.

SAELIG, a strategy, role-playing, simulation, and trading game will come to Linux

Quoting: BeamboomA professional gamer? Wtf is that? One that participates in e-sports?
It doesn't say professional gamer, but gaming pro. The later is still vague because it doesn't really say anything more than you being a gamer and pro at something. Considering that this is a one man job, there's probably some need for some help on Linux specific issues. So he could possible need some help with things like dependencies (a common source of issues for new devs) or maybe some pointers in Linux specific pitfalls present in whichever engine he is using.

IO Interactive retains the rights to HITMAN and becomes fully independent

Quoting: lucifertdarkLooking at it on a strictly financial basis, Square Enix were the ones who bankrolled the Linux port of Hitman, ...
I'm not so sure about that. It seems more likely to me that Feral paid for their own development of the port and earns back this investment from the sales. This arrangement makes it much more likely for a publisher to agree to the port.

HITMAN will have the first location available completely free later today

Initially I thought that this was the first episode (as is the case for the mentioned Life is Strange), but it's only the two "tutorial" missions. Still a lot of fun to be had trying to figure out all the different ways to complete it.

We Happy Few to release on Linux after the full release, not during Early Access
18 Jun 2017 at 10:08 pm UTC

Quoting: KuromiDont wanna to be a Downer here, bu i strongly doubt there will be Linux release at all. Not much of hints coming about it from developers, but you now, first they say it wuill be in alpha, then they say it will after shortly release, then they say "we encountered problems" you have to wait and in the end they say "You know, we moving on to new game/this one sold out/linux is too hard/not enough of users outside windows" and similar stuff.
This is an "untested" developer, so that may indeed be the case. This is also an Unreal Engine game, which has proven to be more difficult to port than Unity3D. We'll just have to see how it turns out.

Square Enix is selling Io-Interactive, developer of HITMAN

Just saw a retweet by Feral. Apparently they are IO Interactive are now their own studio and own the Hitman IP. Sounds like the best result for potential Linux ports of future games.
