As a non-qwerty typer, I had actually left it alone for a while due to the fixed key binding. So good that it's finally changeable.

Ok, I figured out my performance issues. As soon as I change my gfx settings, the FPS tanks. Regardless of what I choose. But if I set maximum settings, then restart the game, I actually get a decent 25-30 fps at 3440x1440. Anybody else have problems like that?

Tacoma, the next game from the 'Gone Home' developers should get day-1 Linux support
14 Jun 2017 at 1:16 pm UTC

I thought it'd be nice to get this one since I did not pay nearly enough for Gone Home. But not finding a link between the two games on Steam, I dug a bit deeper. It appears that the "Fullbright Company". One of them original devs started a new company and is now doing "Where the water tastes like wine", which I saw something of on one of the E3 streams. The others went on as just "Fullbright". Which makes me wonder what the function of the dev that is not part of this game was in Gone Home.

Funny how you can sometimes completely overlook articles. I'd seen the one before and after it, but somehow managed to miss this one.

Anyway, it comes across as a mobile game. So it's surprising to me that the kickstarter doesn't mention a mobile release at all.

PAYDAY 2 - Ultimate Edition is now live

The sneaky thing is that this release is tagged with Linux support, but a lot of the DLC (including most heists) are still not available for Linux.

I have the base game (since before it was free), but never played much. I'd be interested in joining a noob (friendly) squad to check it out.

Beautiful mixed 3D/pixel art adventure game 'The Last Night' announced for SteamOS/Linux

This was one of the games that appealed to me by the look they created. I had already mostly dismissed it because it was announced in the M$ presentation. Good to see that it may actually come after all.

Quoting: slaapliedjeIsn't that a pretty uncommonly high resolution? What GPU do you have? I'm installing the game now, and will be testing it today, and tomorrow I have a 2560x1440 monitor showing up tomorrow.
Standard ultrawide. Not necessarily expecting 60 fps on maximum settings, but even DXMD and Hitman manage around 20 fps on max.

There's also something strange. When I put the rendering resolution to 50%, I'd expect at most 4 times higher FPS, but in actually does almost 6 times. Which means it's hitting high resolutions disproportionally hard while it's usually the other way around.

Also note than I'm running the Vulkan version because the OpenGL one consistently messes up the X server (games remains running, but display/input activity stops).

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night shows off some action in a new trailer

Quoting: ShmerlHighly impractical clothing used for action is a common trope in games. Female characters are more commonly affected by it. This trope is often made fun of:

I just reached a place in Book of Unwritten Tales 2 where they made fun of the armor as well. With the salesman being confused about the problem because both the male and female version had the same stats. :D

Looking forward to this game though. Progress is looking good. Which I'm happy about because this is still the only game I backed.

Unfortunately, the game is completely unplayable at higher resolutions. It only lets me play at 3440x1440. Within reasonable settings I can't break 15 fps. At max setting I'm actually down to 1-2 fps. It's actually shocking to see how hard this game hits the GPU. Like nothing before.

That's the date that has been on whenisthenextsteamsale.com for ages. I'm not so sure I need anything. But has that ever stopped anyone? :D
