Same here! After not having played AAA games for years, you can now see the differences. Everything is smooth, looks good and the animations are superb! In fact, the only issue I have with the game is that the camera sometimes gets a little messed up tight spaces.
Performance was great at max settings. For me 90 fps driving around, but it did drop down to about 35 is some camps. Then I switched to a 3440x1440 monitor. Which is not quite working at the same settings. Need to fiddle with it some more.

Quoting: liamdaweThat didn't really answer the question. So Mad Max counts as 2016, since the Linux version released in 2016. Right?Quoting: EikeAs always, this is Linux release year, not general release year, right?Edit: Errr no, 2016.
All 2016 apart from "Favourite open source game", "Favourite FOSS project" and "Most anticipated game for 2017".

Looks like the big thing missing from this game is buoyancy and balance. Which seems kind if vital to me.

There are some surprising things in there. GTA5 and Witcher 3 in platinum even though they are 2015 games is quite an achievement (if only they were available for Linux). I'm also quite surprised to see Stellaris in the gold. I expected that to be too "niche" for big sales numbers. Also, how did Astroneer make bronze in two weeks of EA? Also two Valve games in platinum, one in gold and few more below that show that Valve actually still makes quite a bit of money on games.

Normally, if I want to play something using one, it would be old enough to pick up a boxed version in a yard sale or something. This way I wouldn't be sponsoring non-Linux development. I'm not this game even has a boxed version, so out of luck on this one.

Quoting: CAPTNCAPSThe texture issue is related to it being a 32bit executable. This (in the way it's written here) sounds like complete BS to me. If this was the case for OpenGL, 32 bit releases of many games would have been impossible. This limitation is probably imposed by something else. Maybe eON.
ArmA3 on Linux will only use 768MB of VRAM
From the ports FAQ:
Being a 32-bit process, Arma 3 has 4 GB of memory available to it. However, unlike Direct3D, OpenGL stores texture data in the game's address space. Using more VRAM would fill the available memory much more quickly, leading to frequent crashes.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoIs the season pass necessary? If the comments are accurate, the story DLC packs are actually a part of the main story. So that would make them necessary. But they can wait. I personally don't want to fund the DLC such scams, so I just bought the game and will wait with the DLC until they are ridiculously cheap.

I've always chosen my CPUs based on single core performance. Even today that is still a good selection for real world performance. So, I'll keep an eye on this and see how it all works out in practice.
