I definitely need to do Oulast. And finish Alien Isolation.

I suppose the problem with the AAA titles is that they are in development for a long time and running on engines that have been developed for even longer. Which means that all that DX12 support will be pretty much bolted on without proper engine design for some time to come. The smaller developers appear to be adapting quicker.

But Jahimself is not wrong. From what I picked up on the steam reviews, the framerates on Windows aren't great. So anything they drop will limit the appeal much more than with other games. And I think Shadow of Mordor did the best in comparison to Windows with dropping about 20%-25%. So even if the DX12 renderer of DXMD is not good, it may still be better than the alternative.
However, I'm not so sure they had enough time to do DX12 to Vulkan yet. However, if Feral has also decided that DX12 to Vulkan is a worthwhile investment, we may see it as a test feature at some point. But in two short weeks we will know exactly how they did.

What the heck. My thoughts exactly! So much quicker than I expected. Not that it affects me, but Mac is not mentioned. Did that get delayed due to Metal support or something?
Edit: Ah it actually says that in the news post on the Feral website.

I recognise the static noise issue. I had that this week with Shadow Warrior. Both times there was a browser window with a flash open. So it does appear that there is a bug in PulseAudio that causes one app to mess up the sound of another.

As a project it looks pretty interesting. Unfortunately, the developer has a pretty bad history of failed projects.

Quoting: Mountain ManI think that the 7€ price was a mistake. The reduction was only for the Euro price and corrected very quickly to 10€. Which is still pretty cheap for this game.Quoting: coruunConsidering that Steam had the game listed for 6.99€ in the past, I'll buy it, when it's on sale. 30€ is too steep for me :/I'm hoping for a sale to go along with the Linux release, but I'll buy it regardless.

The OpenGL results on Linux are actually pretty good. The results between the options are surprisingly close anyway. It explains why I couldn't detect any difference in the demos.
There's still quite a bit of work left to do though. Even if the demo is already optimised to work with the older APIs, DX12 and Vulkan should at least manage to level with the top. It should be interesting to see if devs can make use of it in ways that they couldn't before.

Quoting: FireStarWFinally finished playing through Saints Row 2 recently after starting it months ago, although its a pretty crappy port (and I mean the original Windows port and not the linux wrapper) I found it more fun than SR4, put way more hours into it.I had a blast with it as well. It's a shame that the port is so bad, but the game is good enough to stick with it.

Finally decided to do Shadow Warrior this weekend. On "hard" of course. Bloody mayhem! Also the usual hours in X-Plane.
