Interesting test results. Especially because Linux runs faster for a while, then after take off drops below Windows for a while until it picks up again. It'd be very interested in knowing why that happened. It could just be the timing of loading additional scenery though.

Still good to submit a report. If it's the driver, then Croteam is in a much better position to report the actual problem.
From the build number in the title, I'm assuming this is the same as the latest public beta, so it will crash for me as well.

I love these Zachtronics programming games. I enjoy programming, but I find this to be different. It does help in the way you think about problems, but there are also big differences. The puzzles you have to solve are actually way harder than your average programming job while the tools/language you need to use are fairly basic.
Unfortunately, I'm still haven't finished any of them. TIS-100 will probably be the first one. I only need one puzzle from the main section and it is typical of the difference between programming and these puzzles. It requires you to write a data sort algorithm for number sequences. I could write that in real assembly code in 10 minutes. So far I've tried for at least two hours and failed to solve the problem. I will figure it out! I refuse to look up the solution! Do I really need more brain torture from zack? Hmmmmm. Maybe. :D

The recommended GTX 970 seems like overkill.
What one game would blow your mind if it came to Linux & SteamOS?

Actually blowing my mind would be GTA6 or RDR2. Not so much because of game hype, but more of what it means to Linux gaming in general.

Netstorm! I was trying to remember what it looked like. I enjoyed that game.

If you're on Ubuntu, don't forget to add a '1' to the package name. I tried to install libc++ and then it suggested to uninstall almost everything. ;)

I remember looking it up way back when I signed up for Steam. To this day I have never seen a game that was multiplatform, but not steamplay. So either it was already forbidden to do so or publishers chose not to. I'm actually leaning towards the first because otherwise we would have seen at least a few to break the rule.
