Obviously we're getting a non-politically correct build!

A look at Planet Nomads now it's in closed alpha and available on Linux

Quoting: JudasIscariot- for whatever reason no matter what I try to do, I keep building a car whose wheels will spin in different directions and so I am end up going in circles.
In [TAB] mode (I forgot what they called it), you can change spinning and steering directions.

No real exploration here yet. You can drive around the planet (walk too, but who has the time ;-P), but there is no real point to it yet. At this point it's basically an in-game version of the editor with the vehicle physics enabled. Still good to have a look at what works though. Especially since Linux users normally don't get to play with alphas.

I have very few glitches though. Only when I alt-tab out it seems.

Planet Nomads looks incredible and it's officially coming to Linux this month

If this day 1 Linux thing continues, I'll have to start making a gaming budget!

I wonder where it stores that consumables are consumed information. If it's local, then a thorough delete can give you another shot (which would likely result in easy to use tools). I fear it's the server based kind though. Since it needs that for its microtransaction (and drm) stuff anyway.

If only people were smart enough to NOT spend any money in the store, then that crap would die a quick death.

Looks like Subnautica from the Natural Selection 2 developers won't get Linux support

Sometimes these things can change very quick. It wouldn't be the first time that one of the programmers is experimenting with Linux and exports it and finds it works pretty well. It is a Unity 5 game, which is apparently not that hard to get working.

And as others have said. If it's not released, there are plenty of other games to play these days. No sense worrying about this one.

Quoting: pete910mmmm, not convinced , It uses the Denuvo DRM I belive. Thought that wasn't cross platform.
Maybe they just care less when it comes to Mac/Linux releases. Having those without Denuvo is not likely to get Windows users to install a different OS just to pirate that it.

Also, DRM is most useful for the first month or so. After that, the sales peak has gone anyway. I doubt we'll get it that soon anyway.

Looks like I wasn't the only one to check steamdb just after release ;-) It's there with depots and a configuration, so more than just a hint.

Also, that makes my invisible forum post rather pointless. How long do you get moderator queued on there for new discussions?
