My system is almost 6 years old, so it's about time for an upgrade. But not before the next GPU generation.

I sadly had to switch to Lightworks because both the Arch Linux package and the Flatpak are broken.

But I'm pretty happy with Lightworks. I just bought my lifetime Pro License and everything, so now seems like a good time to switch.
I once tried to install it and the list of dependencies was so long that I left it. Now I edit my incidental video with Shotcut.

Quoting: EhvisA potentially interesting outcome of this could be that publishers that sell a product that depends on an external party for functioning will have to specify a minimum time that they guarantee the functioning of this product for all or part of its functions. This could apply to everything from games to a "smart" fridge. I think it would be extremely beneficial for consumers if producers are forced to think about this before they are allowed to sell anything so it could be included in the value of a product.
No company will ever promise that, and if anybody bothered to read the fine print, they would know that companies actually state the opposite, that there is no explicit or implicit guarantee of future functionality, and that product support can be discontinued at any time with or without notice.
And that's why they need to be forced. No promise of functionality for a reasonable amount of time is a clear indication of the value of a product. Having this explicit is what will make people vote with their wallets. More regular people that is. I already value everything with a 3rd party dependency at zero for a primary function at zero. (and a second party dependency if I don't trust them)

Quoting: EhvisI guess Steam mode boots with the same user directory that is used for desktop mode. Might be better to separate those.
they had this set up in SteamOS 2, it made it annoying from what I remember
Security/robustness is usually opposite from convenience. But for a device like this, it map still be more important.

When I play alone I put player block damage at 150%. Otherwise I get nothing done. No insane zombie speeds for me though. Although I do put the difficulty up to nomad and have feral sense on at night for some added tension in darkness.

Started a new world yesterday. All my settings got reset with this update. Had to remap all my keys and do a bunch of testing on graphical settings again. The challenges seem a bit excessive to me. I get that they're trying to make the game more accessible by having a lot more explanations of mechanics, but a new player might be tempted to read them on day 1 while they should be surviving.

General gameplay seems to be largely the same as A21. The biggest changes are that dew collectors can now be made without filters (removes trader dependency, so very good) and that clothing/armor has been reduced to four items (not so fond of that one). Will have to see whether magazine balance is better now.
