Griftlands from Klei Entertainment to arrive on Linux in May, full launch this Summer

I don't think Klei has ever let me down. Not with the quality of their releases (even in ea). And we always get a Linux build somewhere during EA. That all screams must have!

Quoting: ZlopezI just hope there will be any available with the crypto miners going crazy.
If only AMD could do something to the drivers to make it uninteresting for miners.

(sorry, couldn't resist  )

It is still a survival game, so there is the part of grinding for resources that just takes more time when you do it alone. However, the game progression is actually quite suitable for solo play (which is what I've done so far) because it needs you to achieve goals to get new things and you can do that at your own pace. Haven't felt a specific need for additional hands yet.

Quoting: BielFPs[This make me thing if developers didn't mad the game to break something on AMD hardware on purpose, in order to make Nvidia cards look better.
Or they did it to fix something that broke on the amd driver. And since Linux drivers have nothing in common, it didn't need that fix.

You can always go with the conspiracy theory. But you'll almost always be wrong.

Quoting: robvvNot to be pedantic but Coffee Stain Studios developed Goat Simulator, and Coffee Stain Publishing published Goat Simulator ;-)
Touché, but Coffee Stain Publishing didn't exist until three years AFTER goat simulators release.

So Coffee Stain both developed AND published Goat Simulator. Better? Better.
So Coffee Stain Studios developed Coffee Stain Publishing.

Only have about 10 hours in the game so far, but to me it is an impressive game. They took a lot of elements from the survival genre and put them in game with a nice streamlined progression. It kind of resembles the way that Subnautica progresses. On top of that, everything just works. Although my hours are limited, I haven't encountered a single serious issue. Which is impressive in itself.

One of the highlights is my first raft trip. Being on the water the first time is quite the experience.

I do have one technical issue though. Every time that I restart the game, it gets stuck on the logos. Deleting the Steam shader cache directory for the game fixes that and opengl doesn't have problems at all. So it seems that the Vulkan shader processing is causing issues for me, which is probably not a game issue.

I'd also like to apologise to those big blue guys. I really need my troll skin armour, so I'm coming to get you.

Well, to be fair, if you want to run all 12, you'd also need two extra GPUs.

Quoting: CorbenHow about a checkbox instead of a radio button? Because I'm not buying only in one store, though there might be the most favorite one.

But if the question would be more like: where did you buy games in the last month? And then you select the stores you used to buy something.
Problem with that is the same as with the wine/proton questions that used to be there. It changes too frequently to keep the data somewhat reliable. For that sort of thing you'd be better off running a periodic poll to get the view of the moment.

The favourite store question has issues too though. Humble serves as a both a key reseller for all stores and a distributor of DRM free builds. But at least it's not likely to change frequently.

Never even heard of this one. But to be fair, I was on Linux by the time it released, so I didn't really keep up with Windows gaming things.

Quoting: TheRiddickThis is one of those games that could do with a full VR update, one that lets you manipulate objects with your hands.
I feel like it might make more sense to design a new game based around that premise…but hey, we had Half Life: Alyx, who knows if Portal: Doug [External Link] (or whatever) will be next?
I don't think there will be many people that could handle a Portal game in VR without needing a bucket very quickly.

Quoting: STiATI know wine is quite conservative, but was that the reason for the fork?
IIRC, it was done to build it as a dll that they could also run on Windows. Which would greatly help debugging by getting Wine out of the picture.
