Rochard was among the first games I bought after I got a Steam account. Never fully finished it, but it was a good game. Always sad to see devs disappear, but I can't remember anything other than the DLC that followed it. So they either didn't make anything or it wasn't too memorable.

Quoting: junibegoodI'm now starting a full rerun of the three Witcher games. The first one hasn't aged really well... :whistle:Played that again in December. Don't agree that it didn't age well. It's a bit ... odd. But if you accept that the game mechanics are the way they are, it still holds up quite well. Especially considering it was basically an indie game.

Never heard of Kefir and the games before. But it appears it's mobile, so that would explain why a dev that can drop 120k can be completely unknown to me.

Factorio to get a big expansion pack now the full game is done, developer jobs going

625 hours and counting, so no doubt a day 1 purchase. I agree with their choice for a big expansion. It's the only thing that really makes sense from a gameplay perspective and the popularity of big mod packs clearly demonstrates that there is a demand for it.
And I'll take this opportunity to compliment the excellent mod integration in this game. Installing, updating, dependencies, conflicts, everything is handled in the game itself.

Valve to lose $4 million for patent infringement with the Steam Controller

Another demonstration of how broken the patent system is. There nothing in that patent that isn't entirely trivial. Basically "let's put a button where an unused finger rests". I'm surprised that Valve's lawyers didn't manage to get this thrown out because I highly doubt that this is original.
Factorio 1.1 update is out with blueprint flipping, performance upgrades

Funny that a few pretty major features weren't even mentioned in the release blog post. Stuff like spidertron logitics requests, which makes them much more capable remote builders. On the other hand, I've been playing the experimental for a couple of weeks and it also contains features that I didn't know about. Who knew there was a new train gui. Maybe I should have opened the damn thing .
Also interesting that they're still making effort to improve performance. I've made one pretty big base (2.7k SPM, not gigantic, but still much bigger than most will ever build) and never dropped below 60.
