Quoting: DrMcCoyThey don't speak English. The most commonly spoken language is "The Truth", a logic-based language, easy to teach and learn, propagated by the Order of Truth.
Touché my friend, touché.

Seriously, I really want this game, I will have to wait for mega sales though :(

It seems to only support NVIDIA as of now? I have a GCN 1.1 Mullins AMD GPU, with 1gb RAM, and I am hopeful that it would suffice (Wasteland 2 worked all right), but I cant be sure I guess.

The 'Humble Freedom Bundle' is huge and well worth picking up

Sorry, I am not looking for a discussion or anything. I think it is an awesome bundle, and I highly recommend Thirty Flights of Loving to my linux friends, it works very well with wine, well worth the time and money IMO!

Wow, what a bundle, I already have many of the games, but still. I highly recommend Thirty Flights of Loving - it works perfect with wine.

Edit: I always get surprised that Trump and right wing idiots in general actually exist in reality, but then I stumble upon them in my own backyard, it's frightening. Oh, and that they won the election. What can you say? "Money laundering", OK.

Day of Infamy, the WWII FPS has a big polishing update, take a look at my video

Quoting: hardpenguinDifficult to tell, as it is probably more graphics intense than TF2. Worst case scenario, you can get a refund if it won't run.
This is probably the best thing about steam IMO, it really helps to not be super worried about buying games that it is uncertain my computer can handle. I also love demos. I wonder if DoI will ever go on sale, it is a little steep, the price.

Quoting: buenaventuraI used to love Call of Duty (the first) online, this looks kinda like that! I would love to play this, however I wonder if my laptop can handle it. Minimum says:
OS: Windows 7
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 processor or better
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Video card must be 512 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for Pixel Shader 3.0
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Storage: 4 GB available space

I have 8gb RAM so that's fine, and I have a 1gb AMD GPU, but I wonder if it will be playable (reqs for linux should be a bit higher I guess). Wish there was a demo.
These are pretty low requirements, what video card exactly do you have? What graphics intensive games are you able to play with it? I believe you should be fine if you don't mind playing on low details level!
My card defies naming alot, but this is what lscpi says:
00:01.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Mullins [Radeon R4/R5 Graphics] [1002:9851] (rev 05) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

I've understood that it is GCN 1.1 capable. I play TF2 on low settings with good FPS, I also managed Quadrilateral Cowboy on low settings well, and DiRT: Showdown suprisingly well! Mirrors Edge with Gallium3D via Wine also works well with latest git MESA+Wine.

As you say, I have no need for fancy graphics, I will happily turn of everything that can be turned off.

Quoting: Feral_SamyHey buenaventura, if you can please contact [email protected] So we can take a closer look at the issue you are having.
Hey! Sure, I have, ticket 9097 - actually, I dont particularly mind the no-video-cutscenes (you can still hear the audio and get what's going on - I would be fine with a written transcript even). However, a more serious issue I've encountered now (and reported in that ticket as well) is that all loadtimes, including riding the ship and starting a new game, are quite OK EXCEPT when loading a saved game - I thought it had frozen and just left it for a while (I can alt-tab out easily with no performance hit) but then, something like an HOUR later, poof I was in the base! This is the case both with tweaked .ini and with the standard ini.

Also, something I forgot to mention is that if I start from normal Steam interface, I sometimes fail to get any image (I can hear all sounds) - however, starting from Steam Big Picture Mode is foolproof, gets me to menu well each time.

Also, damn are those loading screens handsome! I printscreened one immediately and set it as wallpaper, DAMN!
