Well, thank you, Captain Obvious. Good jorb.
You deserve to be told that if you're here whining about how a game does not fit your system. Like i said, upgrade your processor. No matter what OS you run, if you want to play a decent 3D game of today, you're gonna need to shell out that money you don't have.

Your processor is 11 years old. What have you been doing with all that dough the past decade?

Quoting: ColoneilI'm guessing this port is not dual core friendly as everything else is way above minimum specs...
Performance on my system [External Link] is also so low as to be unplayable, even with my high tolerances for low performance, unfortunately.

Single digit FPS, frequent freezes/hitches of about a second, and that on everything set to low. These already show up during the text and logo billboards before the main menu, so I'm guessing the issue is CPU, not GPU.

Since I continue to lack the monies for an hardware upgrade, I guess I have to put this game back on my "TODO" pile. A shame.

Well, it's not like I have a lack of things to do, so that's maybe just as well. :P
The minimum spec is core i3 with 4 GB RAM
The recommended spec is core i5 with 8 GB RAM

Those are pretty standard these days. On my aged 3rd gen core i7 with a GTX 670 FTW+, on max settings @ 1080p, i get a constant 80-90 FPS.

Pretty good port if you ask me.

Of course, if you try to skim the lower than the minimum recommended settings, then you can't expect it to run like a charm now can you?

Quoting: cxphergmailcomWith the full game installed, if i use the Feral launcher to launch it in fullscreen mode, it just gets stuck there, black screen. Have to kill the process using alt + f4 to get out of it.

However, if i launch the game in window mode using whatever resolution, it launches fine and then if i go to options inside the game itself to enable fullscreen from there, it works perfectly.

I'd say the launcher is somehow not doing fullscreen properly or as the game expects it to.

Where can i report this bug?
I found a way to bypass this issue.

Just go to the Feral Launcher or right click on the game and go to properties. Under either one, just go to advanced options and key in anything. Just any rubbish will do. I keyed in a whole bunch of A and S.

Then when you launch the game, a popup will say that that command you entered is not recognized, would you like to load native map instead. Click yes and the game will be minimized automatically. Maximize it again either by clicking on it or alt+tab and you're in fullscreen, fully playable.

@Feral - FYA.

Quoting: BlackBloodRumDoes anyone know if "purchasing" the game here:

https://store.na.square-enix.com/product/282531/life-is-strange-pc-download [External Link]

Counts as a Windows or Linux purchase? It gives you a steam key, which in turn will allow you to get the trading cards, where as without the key using steams free system you get no cards.

Just curious if I should "do it" or not.
Think it counts as a Windows purchase. Their store equates PC with Windows.

Hell yeah.

I've completed this. Been wanting to play this again on Linux exclusively!

This is worth the money. I went at it non stop. I'd pay full price for this again gladly tbh.

You people should get it. Good on Feral and Square for this. Next should be "I am Setsuna"!

Anyone of you skeptical about this game? I guarantee you that if you play it till the end, you will come back here and say it was good. I was skeptical but this beats any of the Telltale Games hands down and i've played all of those to the end (except the new Batman which i'm not going to get because Telltale does not support Linux).

Rust has now sold over 30 thousand copies on Linux

I'll make sure not to get this. Anyone who talks shit about their target audiences no matter how small does not deserve any money from anyone.
