Parkitect's main menu music is ridiculously, ludicrously happy [External Link]. :D

Even in the slowest areas they appear to have seen ~50% growth in the last two years. I don't know if that's impressive from a business standpoint, but it looks impressive to me!

Pushing people around until they Conga with me in 'Conga Master', it's amusing and sadly repetitive

So, you're saying it's like TF2, but without the fighting…? ;)

I always love Paradox's sense of humor in these feature lists.

Civilization VI for Linux is no longer certain, only a possibility
5 Oct 2016 at 5:17 am UTC

Strange news, and I do hope it works out eventually; but Civ V is still good (still play it with a friend) and in the meantime I've discovered Europa Universalis IV which has rapidly consumed much more of my time than Civ V has, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

The Steam Hardware Survey for September 2016 shows Linux has grown some more

Quoting: MaCroX95Valve releasing an awesome Linux exclusive would mean only 1 thing... thousands of gamers rushing to install Linux to play a game HL3 for example :D Such thing needs to be done so Windows users would lose their tight grip to 1 OS. But back to reality Valve would never do such thing because they are really the one company that cares about PC gaming and their users opposite to majority of game development companies out there.
While I'm against platform-exclusive games on principle, I wouldn't particularly mind if Half-Life 3 was released on Linux first, say, perhaps a week before releasing to other platforms… :)

Minecraft: The Exploration Update announced, new monsters, new animals and more
29 Sep 2016 at 11:23 pm UTC

I must admit I've mostly stopped following new developments since I'm still on 1.7 (that's where the majority of the modpacks are still), but I like the look of llamas. Fleshing out exploration sounds cool too. ^_^ I wonder if they'll spit, like real llamas…

'Pavilion', the very stylish fourth-person puzzling adventure released with day-1 Linux support
28 Sep 2016 at 8:32 pm UTC

I was going to rag on them for the term fourth person, but it turns out that's actually (kinda, sorta) a thing [External Link].

While I don't think it's my type of game, the art style is really rather beautiful.

Dominate the world in strategy game 'Agenda', now on Linux, here's my review

Sounds like what there needs to be is multiple secret organizations all trying to take over the world, and all trying to expose each other. Then you'd have opponents to fight, while defending yourself from them at the same time.

Classic Flash game 'The Majesty of Colors' is being remastered and will release on Linux
21 Sep 2016 at 8:19 pm UTC

Oh yeah, I remember playing the Flash version of that years ago. (Though the words "classic" and "Flash game" just refuse to go together in my mind. :dizzy: ) You play as the tentacled monster thing and can interact with the world with your tentacles. At first it's just things like grabbing balloons floating by, but then people show up, and you can choose to play nice or not so nice, leading to different endings. Of course, if you attack, the people will retaliate, till eventually you're swatting down planes coming after you with bombs like the monster in a B-movie.

I think I played it once and found it a mildly interesting experience. I had no idea there was enough interest in it to release it as a standalone game, but then I usually don't pay attention to Flash games.
