Quoting: mylkavery blurryheh.. I'm reminded of a forum post from back when World of warcraft was launched, somebody was furious that keybinding was broken - ALT + F1 - F3 worked perfectly fine by every time he hit ALT + F4 the client would crash.

Minecraft - The Wild Update is out now, Java & Bedrock now one purchase

But the switch to the new rendering engine along with some hardcore bullying by people who were using the software to run pirated apk's means the project is properly abandoned now :(

So I made the switch to java when playing with the kids now - even though farms are tons more productive ( the simple iron farm we made has produced more iron in the few hours after building it than every iron farm we've ever made in bedrock edition ) the game just feels so damn sluggish to play even with optifine :|

Quoting: CJLXI'd like to see bedrock on Linux too. Yes I know java is better but I've played bedrock with my 2 children for a number of years (me on Windows before I ditched it for Linux and them on android).Untill recently a comunity driven project allowed you to run Bedrock ( the android version ) on Linux.

Quoting: tohur"just fine" migth be stretching it - It was my understanding that Ubuntu omitted it last minute because of issues with nvidia ( some minor detail like having no desktop ;) )Quoting: GuppyExciting news :Dwayland works just fine in GNOME and KDE for Nvidia on most rolling releases.. if you guys are on Mint or Ubuntu based distros you will be waiting til the next release or two so 6 months to a year?
Quoting: melkemindSo, this works on X? I thought Wayland support was still incomplete for Nvidia.yeah that was also my understanding, but hopefully I'm just mis informed

showing my age here, but 'hack' and thus 'hacking' in CS comes from the term "a hack job" refering to something done by somebody lacking skills/tool/knowledge to do it.
It was commonly use to describe that mcgyvered "solution" you implemented - as it inevitably happens it was shortened to just "hack"
up next on "Granpa stories" : The origin on 'blog'

Wow people get up set over this - please remember, this is to simulate long time careless use to see how the device hold up after you stopped being super care full with it - accidentally sat on it / stuck it in a bag with random cables, etc.
There is usually also a segment about taking apart the devices, guessing he skipped that here because valve already has it covered.
I Must it held up a lot better than I thought it would and most of damaged parts are user replaceble, at this price point I pretty much expected the device to just disintegrate

The store page just redirects to the steam deck page, so I can't really tell - is this "just" a USB-C dock or does it come with something else? (eg. locked to decks, or other valve specific lock ins )
Having spendt entirely too much time and money finding a USB-C dock that works properly with linux it could be very interesting if it will work with any USB-C device, especially if the two outputs aren't linked

Maybe I'm missing something - but I dont see any kind of marking on those titles store page that they work with proton or are deck verified?
Had hoped by now that there would some sort of indication of games that work well with proton :| ( other than having to visit protondb I mean )
