Steam Deck Developer Mode does not turn off the read-only filesystem

Instead of having to go through some complex "unbricking procedure" as some products does you simply boot to the last known good install.
Ofc the trade-off here is that it only works if the user isn't allowed to write to the partitions, because that would be lost.

Quoting: ExpandingManYikes. It's pretty hard for me to imagine this doing anything other than making it more difficult to fix things.Imagine a partial or corrupted download, heck or even a bad update.

Quoting: JahimselfOn the screenshot, if you watch it full picture, and look the first face on the foreground, you can better compare native to other FSR. You can observe how it alterate the overall image. The white bit with the "carbon fiber" texture? yeah I did wonder why the 'quality' seems to double the size of the pattern not of the other seems to do that.

Quoting: TuxeeMaybe but last time I investigated ( due to unupported wifi card ) using that would break the system with every nvidia driver update if running the closed source driversQuoting: GuppyWonder if that means that nvidia will allow nvidia-powerd to work with AMD cpus now, getting a bit old hat that my 130w gpu is locked at 80w on LinuxCan't you use the Ubuntu mainline kernels?
Shame Mint is still stuck on 5.13 - haven't had to compile a kernel my self in some 15 years and I'm now about to start now

This makes me wonder if it would be possible to buy enough spare parts to build a 'steam console' out of them, I imagine it wouldn't be a cheap option but would make a cool project - and the hardware is guaranteed to work with linux out of the box ;)

That looks amazing, hopefully en a few decades when this makes it into mainline Mint you can even route individual browser tabs as well.
Between music, softphone and the various online meeting all running in the browser I could really do with being able to split it to different outputs so customers don't have to wait for me to switch default output from the speakers to the headset every time I receive a call

Secondly (a little rant about car safety you can skip) - in the car ( eg. at https://youtu.be/9Dy-KWjp-m0?t=216 [External Link] ) He is not wearing a seat belt which is bad, but how on earth did she manage to put on the seat belt that wrong? if the car crashes she will break her neck on the seat in front of her. A 3 point seat belt is NOT meant to be worn like that, your better off not using it than using it wrong :|

Not having completed even the base game of the first one is it worth picking this one up?
I mean is there anything new to the game or is it just an "expand-alone" ?

I can't wrap my head around this.. the company behind such fantastically moderate successes as
- Clippy
- The MehBox gaming console
- The "well it came with the computer" OS
buys the company that has basically had it's own money printing press from having 11+ Million people throwing money at their face every month + whenever they released a digital bling pack..
how..
