I've been waiting (and waiting) for this hoped-for masterpiece to be released (pre-bought it already) and the 28th is a red letter day for me.
The Linux port of Banished is still alive, the developer plans their next game to launch cross-platform on day-1

It tells me that my Linux version is problematical, since I'm running Ubuntu MATE 17.04 development version. Nonetheless, the game plays fine.

I get the 0 byte W: DoW download bug every time I open Steam, too. It's not the biggest problem in the world, though. Overfall also does the same thing.
