Huh, shouldn't that just display on the backer portal?
Yes, it did appear after not being there. Holy cow, but its first fifteen minutes are stunning.

By the way, has anyone but me noticed the similarities between Numenara and Tek'umel, of Empire Of The Petal Throne fame?

The RPG 'Eschalon: Book I' is now completely free, to celebrate being 10 years old

It's been years since I played it, in the dark days before the Humble Bundles and Steam, but it's well worth picking up again.

SuperTuxKart is trying to get on Steam, be sure to give it a vote

I bought Vulture for Nethack (which is available in the repos) for $2.99 (a pittance). The Steam sales enabled the devs to add Slash'EM to Vulture's repertoire. The STK devs will be able to work on that networking bugaboo, if they get a few more $$$.

And there's nothing in the GNU license that says you can't make money, as long as you make the source code available, as the Vulture guys did.

AMD officially announce Ryzen 7 CPUs for launch on March 2nd

Quoting: Shmerl8 cores, 16 threads. Sounds good for compiling some big projects.
I was compiling Wine 2.2 (and it was upgraded from the repos three days later), and discovered that if you typemake -j [number of cores you want to devote]

It really speeded up my make time. If you already knew it, a thousand pardons.

I am struggling  with an AMD 8320E, which actually does me pretty well. I'll wait a year or two for the Ryzen to come down in price. and a good but inexpensive motherboard. The Ryzen does look hot.

Dungeons 3 announced by Kalypso Media & Realmforge, will support Linux

I Kickstarted War for the Overworld, and, although it's the spiritual successor to Dungeon Keeper 2, with the blessing of Peter Molyneux, and the same narrator as DK2, I vastly prefer Dunngeons 2; it seems to be more fun, the graphics are great, the narrator is fine, and I even like the Overworld. D3 is on my "wait for it" list.

Wine 2.2 released with even more Shader Model 5 instructions and work towards Direct3D command stream

Just compiled it after the usual dependency hell. I did pick up a neat flag for make: make -j (number of cores) Compilation will go MUCH faster.

The 'Humble Freedom Bundle' is huge and well worth picking up

Back on topic:

I have about 40-50% of these games, and, being on a fixed income, I really shouldn't (given my budget and the games I already bought this month) buy it :'( . Oh well. I could have gifted them, but it's just not to be. :(
