Magicka 2 Officially Released For SteamOS & Linux
10 Nov 2015 at 2:59 pm UTC

Interesting that no Steam Machine is on the main page, nor that Magicka 2 is on the "new" section, and it's not even in the Discovery Queue.

It is available. Just like Universe Simulator, it was a game I missed from my dual-boot days, and now there is a new version for us! There are, however, a lot of negative reviews, 33% of them :S: .

No complaints here, except for Steam defaulting to GOL for me to know it's even available. As usual, Thanks, Liam!.

Three Years Ago Valve Put Steam Into Beta For Linux, A Look At It All

I have :O over 500 Linux games in my Steam library. Yes, they're mostly indie, and some are fantastic, and many less so. Nonetheless, we have Bioshock:Inifnite, X-COM, CIV V, Crusader Kings 2, Europa Universalis IV, Age of Wonders 3, Borderlands 2, Don't Starve, Empire:Total War, Icewind Dale, Grim Fandango, Pillars of Eternity, Torchlight II, Star Wars KOTOR 2, War for the Overworld, Witcher 2, Terraira, ME: Shadow of Mordor, Victor Vran, Tabletop Simulator, and let's not forget the Half-Life 1 set, the Orange Box games, Portal 2, DOTA 2, Left4Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, and Planetary Annihilation:TITANS.

Quite a list of AAA games there :woot: , which I never thought would ever, ever come to Linux.

Steam is one of the best things to happen to Linux. Linus  thinks so, even if RMS doesn't  .

AMD Radeon Software Crimson Driver Announced, Completely Redesigned From The Ground Up
6 Nov 2015 at 4:39 pm UTC

I've been an exclusive nVidia user since before my Linux days, lo these 7 1/2 years ago. I was very glad indeed that I was using nVidia once I saw the Linux AMD users' woes.

This announcement does not change my mind.

I know I suck at FPS, but I can't even kill the very first boss :'( . It'd be nice if I could see the rest of the f*cking game...

Digging Up A 1999 Fossil With Freespace 2, Have You Tried It? It’s Excellent.

I tried running it, and got this:
oldrocker99@oldrocker99-MS-7693:~/FreeSpace2$ ./fs2_open_3.7.2
./fs2_open_3.7.2: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Of course, the Wily repos do not have libsdl1.2...is there anyone who can point me in the right direction?

I do miss the con trails from the ships in Homeworld, but you can't have everything. It does indeed look good.

Organ Trail: Director's Cut Big New DLC

The game has been amazingly upgraded, and what a nice surprise :woot: . Steam game developers have maintained my admiration for their attitudes and content , Well, there's Eador's devs :><: to hate, but I have gotten some first-rate customer service, including a phone call from Axis Game Factory's developer  in attempt to get the game running.

Even some dead programs (Psychonauts, which came out in 2012 in a Bundle) have eventually gotten the proper update and run just great. Yeah, I bought it twice.

And, as I said, it works very well, and it's a great little game too. Big thanx to Liam for noticing it!

Looks great, but there are no Wily packages :'( .

However, the portable version works like a champ, and thanks, Avehicle7887!
