Quoting: GuestWell at least it’s not a turn-based strategy game.
Hey, I like TBS! Besides, Aspyr did Borderlands 2, and the Pre-Sequel, too. Hardly exclusively TBS...

Kyle Pittman From Minor Key Games Talks About Low Linux Sales, And More

I certainly like to support Linux game developers, and have bought (some time ago) some games just because they had come out for Linux, not because the kind of game it was appealed to me.

These days, with 284 Steam games and God knows how many Desura games as well, I have become more...picky about what I buy. When I started noticing that I was having to visit the store page for games in my library to remember what they were, it slowly dawned on me that I had too many Linux games.

6 years ago, I wouldn't have believed that something like this could ever exist. The only commercial game I had was Neverwinter Nights (which I still play), and I had little reason to believe that much more than that would ever be available. I even dual-booted for a while, but not any more. Windows shall never darken my desktop again!

A Linux Port Of Frozen Synapse Prime Is Unlikely

Interesting. Steam sent me a 50% off coupon for Frozen Synapse Prime today. Of course, I did use to dual-boot:S:...

Aspyr Media Updates On Civilization: Beyond Earth Linux Port Progress

I find it interesting that Windows players of CIV:Beyond Earth (the might be playing a beta) have, on the Pandora:First Contact Steam forums, carped mightily about C:BE and praised P:FC, thus:

Hammershaft has Pandora: First Contact Oct 29 @ 7:40am
Pandora is definitely better than BE in my opinion, and was better even on launch as a fair comparison. Pandora is worth picking up just to enjoy the things that it does SO much better than Civ... like the economy, combat, and military AI.
I have Pandora, and it's definitely treading the same ground as C:BE, but it's its own game, and quite well worth playing. Is it better than C:BE? Perhaps; it's definitely worth playing, but C:BE may well kick its butt when it is finally released.

And I certainly agree that Aspyr are Good Guys, and, since the overwhelming approval that they got for CIV V, are more than interested in porting native versions to we Linux users. See what they have already done, and it appears that we can expect more goodies from them.

IMHO, there is such a wide variety of games for Linux, there is, by now, something to suit just about every type of gamer. Yes, there will always be games for Windows that cannot run in wine, but I'm not interested in a lot of them, when I can play CIV V, EU IV, X-COM, The Witcher 2, Borderlands 2, Dominions 4,

This was the second project (after Fallout 3) that I Kickstarted, and, BOY am I eager to play!

QbQbQb Arcade Game Released On Steam For Linux, Win Some Keys

This is a site I visit every day, and I almost always find something interesting, even if it's a genre I am not enthusiastic about. What I like is hearing about games I might not have known about. With 800+ Linux games on Steam (whoda thunk it?), I appreciate a way to find hidden gems and their weak and strong points.

Keep it up, guys! Love the site!

Very interesting. Platform games are usually not my cup of tea, but this is certainly different.

I'm no fan of most platform games, but the Trine games are certainly an exception.

Sigh. My desktop is currently out of commission (long story), and the 8 year old Lenovo laptop I'm using, while a quite nice and high quality machine, simply cannot run the SUG games on it (Tropico 5 started, then showed a black screen...), and, until I get together the ~$200-$300 to get a new mobo and CPU, I can't play many games. I'm jonesing for Borderlands 2...
