Quoting: KeizgonJust pointing this out, but I think you meant £2M for Yooka-Laylee. ;)Good catch! Certainly, it's almost onto £2M, which is actually $3M!

Quoting: AlzarathI felt the negative powerups were a little annoying compared to similar games that I'm used to. Usually they'd offer at least some points, so they might feel worthwhile to get, but that's not the case here. They're not especially hurtful, at least not to the extent that I felt I could ever attribute a death to them, and for some reason they home in on your paddle, so at worst they're a mild unavoidable nuisance.Yeah, that also irritates me a little. :P

I've already purchased 9 games + 2 DLCs so far. I'm less than $10 away from getting Xenonauts for free (I hope it works well with Wine). :)
Among this recent batch I must highlight Freedom Planet. I've only played a couple of levels, but boy does it take me back to my Sega Mega Drive days! Highly recommended if you've got fast-paced-16bit-platformer nostalgia.

Quoting: Hamish(...) and the arrival of other online storefronts such as Itch.io and the Humble Store meant that Desura could no longer distinguish itself as being the sole online alternative to Steam.Well, it seems quite a few devs are taking their games to itch.io as a result of this bankruptcy file. Pity it's only the games that aren't on Steam or with chances of getting Greenlit that are doing so. The rest are just spewing Steam keys around and gating themselves in Valve's estate.

Is there any official announcement about this? If my mind doesn't play tricks on me, I'd swear the same exact thing happened some time in the past, only for Tux to be restored after a couple of hours or the following day.
If it's for good, well, at least the filter checkboxes and drop-down menus still say "SteamOS+Linux".

I used to be a Desura champion, and I really wished it to become a real alternative to Steam, but my enthusiasm has totally waned by now. Nothing has changed in the 2.5 years I've been using it, even after changing hands twice. A non-working Linux client, and fewer quality games being released there (and those who do, usually during early development, are totally neglected by the devs once they get into Steam) is nothing to be excited about, that's for sure.
Quoting: AnxiousInfusionI was looking at joining Desura so that I am not as reliant on Steam (don't put all your eggs in one basket). Is this a bad time to join? Should I look elsewhere?Your best bet right now would be to wait until GOG's Galaxy is available on Linux. Hope we get it sooner than later.

I spent a summer playing (a pirated version of :S: ) Master of Magic when I was a little brat. That one does seem to have aged pretty well, so I guess I'll be picking it up (if only to redeem my old pirate self :P).
