Humble Bundle replacing purchase sliders with less generous options
25 April 2021 at 12:03 pm UTC Likes: 1

For me the most important part of the sliders was to be able to reward developers, Linux support and better games deserve more money, the charity and humble part seems fine to me.

But now to buy it, I have to pay non Linux supporter devs, i'm not buying anymore.

Civilization VI has a big June 2020 update with restored cross-play

QuoteAs a quick-tip reminder, on Manjaro Linux I need to use this launch option or it just doesn't start up. This might help you too:

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libfreetype.so.6 %command%

Sid Meier's Civilization VI is currently on sale with big discounts on both Humble Store and Steam.

It doesn't start on Fedora, and that doesn't works.
It launch only with the beta code "ineedlegacyaccess" to play in legacy mode.

I asked Aspyr for a support ticket a long time ago, but they don't even answer.

Try the demo for deck-building auto-battler 'Hadean Tactics' for another week

It looks good, but I've tried it and I don't like the way the fights works, the "use a card" movement doesn't works in a real time fight.

Slay the Spire or Hand of Fate fights are more enjoyable for a card game, this one is just frustrating for me.

System76 announce their 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen powered Serval WS laptop

Quoting: ShmerlWell, picking Nvidia for graphics is a major no go for a Linux laptop. Pretty bad move on their part.

Let them make a proper AMD laptop.

Nvidia graphic seems to be the only good option for graphic when still Linux game maker like Aspyr don't support AMD graphics on some of their games, like Civilization VI

G2A has paid Wube Software over illegitimate Factorio keys
21 May 2020 at 8:10 pm UTC

Quoting: Samsai
Quoting: aokamiI wonder how can they even flourish a business out of stolen keys...

Are there any rogue agents trying to generate collisions ?
Or do they actually stole them from phishing, unauthorized access or from the inside ?

That's the kind of questions I'd love G2A to answer as they might know better.

Beginner's guide to laundering money using G2A

1. Steal credit card details using phishing techniques.
2. Buy loads of game keys on Humble or game developer's own websites.
3. Sell keys on G2A to cash out.
4. Leave game devs to deal with chargeback fees while G2A gets rich off of the cut they get from stolen keys.

Why don't they just revoke the keys?

If so many stolen keys are actually sold in G2A, the user will know, everyone will say on the Internet that their key bought in G2A has been revoked, even though not many buyers denounce G2A, it would be a problem for them, and they would worry about doing something.

The FOSS real-time strategy 0 A.D. gains FXAA, more animals and a lot more ready for Alpha 24

I usually play 0 A.D. for some time every 2 or 3 versions, it's impressive to see how the development progresses.

It is currently the best game in its category, and it is OSS :D
