I already bought it after I tried the tech demo they have on page.
But I was also unable to start it from the Steam, I can only hear the sound, otherwise I have black screen.

The concept seems similar to The Guild II. Which for me is one of the best games I ever played. Sad it has so many bugs.
I will see how the SÆLIG will look when released.

I didn't played the DoW 3, so I'm unable to say if the Relic has better multiplayer code than in DoW 2.

Quoting: nitroflowSpace Hulk: Deathwing would also be cool, and the shooting sound is close to one of the weapons in that game too.I didn't played the Space Hulk: Deathwing, but from what I read, the game is really bad. Stupid AI, many bugs and others things, that are making it unplayable, so I rather see DoW 3 instead of Space Hulk. But what I want to see on Linux is Battlefleet Gothic.
Quoting: Kuduzkehpanwill it be platform independent multiplayer ? or will it be just like CoH 2 and DoW 2This mostly depends how the multiplayer code is done. If the game uses dedicated servers than probably yes, but if the network code will be same as in Space Marine or DoW 2 than probably no.

I think it's Dawn of War 3, the sound of the gunfire is very similar to the imperial knight solaria from DoW 3.

Quoting: AlthorionYou can manually add non-Steam games to Steam to be able to see them. This is not the same, you are missing many functionalities. Mainly automatic updates.

I personally hate to manage the downloaded games. I forgot any game, that I don't see in Steam. Also automatic updates to keep game up-to-date is fine.
But I will prefer something like central linux repository instead of many different clients. Flatpack FTW!

Very good insight into linux game porting background.
But this
But this
Many game developers are not even super users so getting around on a Linux distro can be a challenge to the average developer. Even translating what a Linux player has in a bug report they send to a developer can be a challenge.makes me very sad. I'm a developer myself (not a game developer) and I can't understand how somebody can even use the Microsoft OS for developing. I tried it for a few years and I never want to go back there. Only thing that makes this system useful for developing is MinGW [External Link]. But this is only a small substitute for a Linux OS.
