Satisfactory 1.0 is releasing in September

Highly recommend picking up this game.

I have put 470 hours into this one so far and is 3rd in my top played list behind CS1 and Stationeers. Game now runs through steam proton with virtually no issues whatsoever.

Really looking forward to 1,0

Paradox Interactive completely cancelled Life by You (update Paradox Tectonic to close)

Its sad to see another PDX game get cancelled.

I guess PDX are in financial trouble because there is no way they would just throw away what is potentially an extremely profitable game for no reason. Unless they have had a dispute with EA behind the scenes.

I worry for the future of CS2 after its disastrous launch as well as the upcoming PA2 release. I fear dark times are ahead for PDX.

NVIDIA exploring ways to support an upstream kernel mode GPU driver

I am glad that NVidia appear to now be slowly opening up their driver stack. Hopefully in future this will force HDMI forum to open up HDMI 2.1.

Hope this is just the beginning.

Valve faces a £656 million lawsuit in the UK for 'overcharging 14 million PC gamers'

This has got to be a joke right?

It was the retailers who abandoned the PC market in favour of the console market. If were not for Valve and Steam then PC gaming would have completely disappeared.

As for digital distribution, There are plenty of other platforms on offer. Steam is dominant because they actually LISTEN to gamers.

Hopefully this lawsuit will be tossed out into the trash.

Edit.

Excessive Pricing, I don't see any complaints against MS, Sony, Nintendo.

As for DLC and added content. I have purchased added content from 3rd party stores in the past and redeemed on steam So don't get this argument.

God of War Ragnarok and Until Dawn coming to Steam, requires PlayStation Network Account

I have a PS account due to having a PS5 but I am NOT LINKING my account to steam. I am not putting my steam account at risk so that Sony can mine my personal data and for me to be given meaningless trophies.

I have purchased every PC release on day 1 but stopped with HD2. Sony are now banned from my shopping cart and this boycott will continue until this PSN requirement is dropped.

Getting sick and tired of the endless accounts and subscription service model. I just want to buy and play a game on my own terms. Why must this be so god dam difficult. Ohh yes, Greed and control.

Dev of crowdfunded WW1 survival-horror game CONSCRIPT cancels Linux and macOS versions

I am no lawyer but surely when you pledge money I would like to assume you are entering a contract?.

Gaining a sale under false pretences I would assume is considered illegal behaviour and therefore has broken consumer law.

Someone needs to take this to court as this is happening too frequently and needs to stop. Luckily for me I have never crowd funded anything and certainly would not do so now. All I would say is that the only way to stop this behaviour is to not support the crowdfunding model.
