Valve tweak Steam AI disclosure form for developers to clarify it's for content consumed by players

I think this decision is being done as a matter of pragmatism. Nobody likes generative AI and game creators currently do lie about using it regularly. And it's not really possible to prove someone used it when coming up with ideas for their game because generic and uninspired games have existed long before chat bots.

The magic trick that neural networks were actually built to do is finding biases and patterns in large sets of data. They can link snakes to water, dwarves to fire, and help you build the next completely unoriginal fantasy rpg by including these links other people have made in your game. And though people might claim to not want this, people still pay good money for bethesda games.

Quoting: natis1It's very pretty but my god is the gameplay miserable. I couldn't play it for more than an hour.
Can you elaborate? Was it too clunky or simple? Did the game feel too high level? Sorry to ask so many questions, I just got a blip of hope from the trailer.
It's just extremely slow. If you've played Warframe it's like the worst parts of duviri but as the whole game.

PSA It doesn't yet work on Linux (segfaults) and because they obfuscated the server binary with VMProtect nobody is sure why yet. They're working to fix it but closed source server and all that.

if you get to decide how they play, it's like, you get to make them sabotage themselves.
I think that is the intent. That you need to sabotage the enemy so you can win.

As a Nobara user, KDE plasma is definitely the way to go these days. It runs excellently in Wayland and has a very intuitive default layout with a lot of customization potential.

I don't like platform support as a stretch goal, but it is made in Godot and they do go on a big tangent about only using open source tools they can control, so they would have a very hard time shirking responsibility if they decide not to deliver on Linux support.

It requires always online for single player. This'll be a hard sell on deck.

Quoting: emphyNot a fan of the dlc-spamming. Especially at release (and even during the early access?).
All the DLC aside from the OST is AI art packs. The developer has vehemently defended this decision. While the base game is fun this has personally made me not want to play it.

Per the Linus video it's double the performance at 35W and about 50% more performance at 15W TDP.

No word on lower TDPs but in combination with the much higher screen resolution and 120hz VRR it's probably going to chew through battery.
