Intel announces 13th Gen mobile processors, plus 65-watt and 35-watt desktop processors

I like it. Intel is really providing options for low power and budget users where AMD is providing none. I am sick of the trend that AMD and Nvidia have of only making top tier parts and then waiting upwards of a year before selling lower end variants on the same generation.

If you use PolyMC for Minecraft you should switch away now

Quoting: superboybotI think the only reason the community is rallying around this is because of the politics of it.
We've seen developers throw temper tantrums before and their products end up with malware. There was an NPM package which wiped the data of russians who used it and the community then rightfully reacted with the same urgency they did now. Even though the left is generally in favor of Ukraine (or at least against countries being invaded).

When you're using a system that has the potential for auto update it's important that the developers of it prove themselves as hinged. PolyMC's dev demonstrated unhinged behavior.

I just don't rent/lease games there, I want to buy (and own without restrictions).
I don't think you can own games on any platform, at least with my country's laws, maybe yours are different. But most (95% probably) indie games on steam are completely DRM free. If they need steamworks for anything you can drop in a foss replacement like Goldberg and run them anywhere. If they don't need steamworks you can make a file called steam_appid.txt and run them anywhere.

I know steam does offer a DRM but I don't see it commonly used. The PC gaming wiki has a list of like 5000 games that have been manually verified to be drm free on steam.

It will be available on Steam.
If that is the final word it would be a clear step back (and make it the Zachtronics game I don't buy....).

Apparently it can be exploited by letting you add fake messages to make the other person look worse. Here's a proof of concept: github.com/nodusclient/gaslight [External Link]

VRChat adds Easy Anti-Cheat, community not happy but Linux and Steam Deck work fine

Quoting: TheRiddickWhats a bad mod? well you can make mods that crash peoples computers! lmao
This is apparently a misconception. Game crashes are caused by uploading and using corrupt avatars. EAC doesn't prevent users from doing this because it's not a client mod. There were anti crashing mods that would detect and not load corrupt avis that are no longer usable

Quoting: natis1The real problem here is you can't host your own servers with EAC off. Official ones can and should use some kinda protection ideally serverside but killing off a massive active modding community is just shitty. Imagine if Minecraft in response to some people using cheat clients like baritone decided to add forced AC that broke every mod.

this will not work it may work for the new versions of the game before a modder made a mod to bypass the EAC or players will stick to a version of the game that does not have EAC

players that like to play with mods play Minecraft java edition
Yes your right. It's more like if Minecraft was an always online game and they could force you to use a version that didn't support mods. Which is even worse.

The article's image is from "Lucah: Born of a Dream" - I cannot speak for any of the other games in the bundle but this one is ABSOLUTELY worth picking up and playing. I cannot recommend it enough.
