Quoting: RafiLinuxWould there be any benefit in allowing users to post more then one machine?
As someone who games on both a laptop and desktop as well I agree this would be good. But I don't think it's fair for people with multiple machines to have a greater influence on the statistics. If it's ever implemented, then the statistics should be based on an average of every machine a user lists.

According to the Steam comments the Linux version is missing an executable.

Helium Rain, a single-player space simulation to release in Early Access with Linux support

As someone with way too many hours in X3, I can't wait for this game to come out. Also once the Steam version releases (and I can get my hands on some assets) I'm gonna try to compile it myself for the fun of it because an open source game is so cool in this day and age. (also because I kinda wanna see if it will build successfully on my Raspberry Pi even though I know its specs are too weak to run it)

So wish me luck.

Or, as Mark Twain (supposedly) said: "The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read."

EVERSPACE seems to be having more issues with Unreal Engine again with Linux support

Quoting: MaCroX95Liam, I agree that pushing a button is not everything it takes, but the difference is if the game is optimized from the ground up for the cross plat then it can be said that it requires not much more than push of a button, but of course the techniques and dependencies need to be cross-plat. I believe it is hard for devs to compile a linux version of a game that was designed for windows in mind purely... That's where the devs screw up during the development.
As a general statement, yes, but in this case I disagree. Devs screw up choosing Unreal 4. Almost every game ported from that engine to Linux has problems and bugs and stuff doesn't work right and usually it ends in delays/the Linux version being canceled outright. In theory Unreal 4 supports Linux, but in practice all the work on it comes from just one guy who Epic isn't even paying.

A large number of indie games these days that promise Linux but fail to deliver were made in Unreal 4. The Other 99, Inner Chains, Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

Epic needs to get its shit together and hire a small team to fix their engine on Linux.

Feral Interactive are teasing a new Linux port, bring on the speculation

Just throwing this out there but it could be Zombi, a game about surviving zombies in London. If so then it would be their first Ubisoft game, which would be good for us because it would mean a huge company interested in porting to Linux.

Me too. I'm sticking with my existing hardware until I cannot get 60fps in the genres I play.

GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin drops D3D12 in favour of Vulkan

They deprecated D3D9 in 2013. Now they are killing D3D12.

I have a feeling as their Vulcan pipeline improves D3D11 will go next. Especially since OpenGL seems to outperform it in benchmarks I have seen.

The developer of 'Inner Voices' will seriously consider a Linux version with enough interest

To the Inner Voices developers:

While I am probably not going to buy this game (I didn't vote in the poll or post in the steam thread for that reason), just because the genre isn't for me and I only have so much money to spend anyway, please know that I really appreciate how much you all seem to respect your community and if you all continue doing game development I will follow your work into the future.

Game engine 'Construct 3' has come along well during the Beta

You should make it so people can hold down to fire instead of clicking for two reasons:

1: It stops people from cheating by using autoclicker or Steam controller rapid fire.

2: It prevents RSI.

Seriously, my hand is really hurting right now.
