Quoting: edogreat news for the 17 linux users
It might not be a great new for you or me, but it is a huge deal for the community. Minecraft is incredibly popular on Windows and if people can play it on Linix it's a huge Win and they have 1 less concern about switching to Linux...

Aspyr Media are reminding Linux gamers not to give up hope on Civilization VI

I agree with [email protected], Aspyr are clearly not giving up on Linux as a whole, rather they are trying to make games perform to their standards and keep their port quality (which has been incredible for me for all of their previous linux games honestly). Some concurrence is also not bad but if there were like 5 companies that would do this kind of thig they would run out of games to port actually... But this way they can distribute their roles and help the community with each providing us with other types of games which is nice... I'm wondering which are the unknown upcoming big titles for linux :D

Aspyr Media are reminding Linux gamers not to give up hope on Civilization VI

Aspyr media and Feral interactive are great companies who are making gaming as we know it possible, no word on that. What I do care about is that other developers are SO lazy that now when they really have a chance to make gaming better for everyone thanks to Valve, SteamOS and Vulkan and still produce awesome games in all Windows, Linux and Mac with MoltenVK... they just don't care, they use shitty DX11 or 12 because they just know how to use it and it would take some time to re-learn how to do things in Vulkan. And hey, they still get rewarded with 90% of audiance for that... things really need to change. I could absolutely predict that if developers started bringing all the titles to all 3 platforms, a lot of people would transition with no concerns. I hope that Aspyr can work this out and bring Civ VI to people who would like to play this game :)

It's me or the video it's like if the game is going at 10fps but the HUD says it's going at 70fps? This happens even with the Windows version of the video.
It really hurts my eyeballs when I see that the Linux port works on only a half fps than the Windows one and feel really sorry for the AMD guys :(
I hope that the things are better on Nvidia's GPUs but spec requirements are already high enough...
If someone who already owns the game could do a benchmark on Nvidia's GPU it would be great!

The developers of 'Can't Drive This' will donate all Linux revenue from October to charity

The developers of 'Can't Drive This' you da real MVPs!

We need more developers like them that care less about money and care more about supporting linux because it's a free platform and it is the right thing to do :)

I will be glad to buy some of their games in the future!

Great job guys!

Feral have released the minimum and recommend system requirements for Mad Max on Linux

Quoting: sarmadThis sounds like a bad port. The spec is much higher than the game seems to need.
It also depends on which generation of the processor it runs... if you run 2nd gen or 3rd of i5 3,4 GHz it might be way different than running it on 6th gen... I'll report how it performs on i5 6600 3,4 GHz w GTX970 OC, I just hope that the game is stable without frame drops, that would mean that it's well optimized.

I just hope that it is optimized well for the specs that are listed above :) I'm looking forward to this game, looks very great on all trailers.

What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

Played mostly Shadow of Mordor and Tomb raider lately since I don't have much time for multiplayer games. I also played some CS GO, Hearthstone and League of Legends with friends. When I have some more time I'll take a closer look on Rocket League and some kind of strategy, perhaps Dawn of War II!
