I took a step away from emulation as a whole because I see myself using their games as still a win for them even if I got them for free because of stuff like this. I think ppl that really don't like this should consider not being patron in any format and just advocate or showcase other devs that don't take this stance when it comes to ROMs.

Yeah but the great thing about that is that you can say fuck you to that game and company and support the DRM FREE ones. It's not that hard to avoid this stuff.

Like I want to game but it's on my terms with my money. I get what I want 100% of the time.

So I tried to get this as a gift for a friend that is into the series but does not have all of the DLC and HB required that I add a phone number and informed that my account had to be reviewed before allowing the purchase. After 2 days I decided to cancel the order and delete the 1x account I made to get this.

First time ever I've been required to provide a phone number for a software purchase ever.

I spent $0.87 on Zombie Army 4: Dead War with their $10.00 coupon when it was on sale. Destiny 2 was free. Played Super Animal Royale for free too. Great gaming.

The problem is the anti cheat and because Stadia was cloud based anti cheat was not needed.

This is why I think every anti-cheat MP game should be cloud based. Leave that software trash off of my tech.

L4D2 is the buggiest game I ever played. Random crashes across various rigs and distros. Oddly enough in offline mode, it never crashes.

That is valid. I remember even before youtube going to ebaum's world to see gameplay vids of games that ppl camcorded back then. Help making a good purchase.

I find all of the mixed labeled games to be deceptive. From GOG and others, I just want to see a list of fighting games. That term is known for decades as what it is. How does a farm simulation game get put in there just means that no one is curating properly and/or trying to get some deceptive purchases in there.
