Quoting: boltronicsHopefully it supports AMDGPU-Pro upon release (or better yet, Mesa with its current OpenGL 4.3 compatibility) and doesn't complain on start-up that you're not using an Nvidia card. That behaviour has to stop. Are there any games besides the Feral ports that do this? I'm relly curious because I'm likely to upgrade to a RX 480 in the next couple months.

Quoting: Shadowsedge117Nice to know they are working on bringing this to our system. It also seems like they have some good porters working on it. If the reviews turn out to be good, I'm gonna have to give this one a try.It seems that you have missed all the backlash and bad/average reviews. This game isn't good to say the least and Inafunes response was just "At least it's better than nothing" :'D

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLThanks for clearing this up. I should check my Infos better next time.Quoting: WienerWuerstelEdit: It's also the same developer that ported Painkiller HD to Linux and was/is porting Darksiders 2 to Linux, and we know what happened with the Darksiders 2 port, nothing. No, this is not the same developer. This answer in steam community is from Reinhard Pollice, Executive Producer at Nordic Games. And person who porting Painkiller and Deadfall Adentures and almost done Darksiders is Leszek Godlewski, but he not working anymore in this company (he working in The Farm 51 when he porting Painkiller and Deadfall and next he left developer and join to publisher team Nordic games and trying port Darksider), after that he start working in The Astronaut (Wanishing of Etan Carter) and now he working in Flying Wild Hog.

@mcphail Try playing The Longest Journey with the latest build of ResidualVM instead. Works much better.

I'll probably finish Dead Island DE this weekend if I don't watch every footy match ;).
It's still as fun as I remember it, only with less bugs and better looking :D.

That would be sweet. Still have my Windows copy somewhere but didn't play it too much because I was more a Sacred (2) fan.
Some people say that Titan Quest is the better Diablo so we are going to get yet another great game. Unless the statement is nothing more than hot PR air.
Edit: It's also the same developer that ported Painkiller HD to Linux and was/is porting Darksiders 2 to Linux, and we know what happened with the Darksiders 2 port, nothing.

Already filled my wishlist with a lot of games that I want to buy but probably end up not playing xD. There are just too many games available for Linux compared to even a couple years ago. It's a great problem to have though.
PS: My wallet will be ready. Well, actually I don't use a wallet but you get what I mean.

Quoting: Comandante oardoI'm gonna buy it once I have more confirmations that the Definitive edition of both games works on Linux. Is that proof [External Link] enough? Besides the several users already reporting that it works on GNU/Linux (including Liam himself) and this video [External Link] showing it being run on SteamOS ;)

Quoting: ziabiceI edited the drirc file as suggested, but that don't helped, still getting a blank screen.Dead Island Definitive Edition uses the Chrome Engine 6, which is the same engine that Dying Light uses, so it wouldn't surprise me if it has the same OpenGL requirements (4.4) as Dying Light.
I think that the problem here is that the game engine misinterpret my OpenGL version string and complains on start, but let me play anyway: that happens also with other games, ie "Crookz: The big heist" or "Serious Sam 3", and seems to me a major Mesa bug.

This will probably be the first Feral game that I won't buy. RTS isn't my favourite Genre and the performance is sub-par to say the least (26-34 FPS, 1920x1080, middle settings, no AA on a Rig with a i5-4670k and a GTX 760). Shadow of Mordor didn't have the best performance either but it was at least better than this one. So I guess I'll wait for Ferals next port. Hopefully in a different Genre and with better performance.
